I've been working with UT to put together a professional training program for Tourette's and Tic Disorders. I'm so thankful for their work and support and excited about this program! It's a 12 session training program supported by the Tourette Association of America (TAA). It takes professionals from foundational knowledge all the way through practice with an actual TS/Tic case.

I thought there was a way to post a PDF, but I'm wrong. So...

I am providing a special seminar on ACT and Tic Disorders this Thursday for the Association of Contextual Behavioral Sciences (ACBS). It will be at 11:00am EST. I am unsure if this requires membership in the ACBS, but perhaps the following webpage may provide additional information?

New video! (And new tic for me) So in this video I talk a bit about the experience of developing/noticing a new tic and what that is like based on my own recent experience. An old dog can develop a new tic (isn't that clever!)

Inattention! It is a common challenge, especially for individuals with Tourette's or ADHD. In fact, individuals with Tourette's are much more likely to also have a diagnosis of ADHD. This video talks about this a bit and gives an exercise that can be helpful in working on inattention.

Difficulties with inattention or loss of focus are common in individuals with Tourette’s or persistent tics. In fact, a diagnosis of ADHD is far more common ...

In this video I talk more about Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and its treatment. We still don't have a lot of good knowledge about it and how to best treat it. In the video I mention an especially useful resource: neurosymptoms.org

Today I tried to make a "short" video about Functional Neurological Disorder. It's not a short thing to talk about though. Nevertheless, some individuals have developed sudden, severe tics and that's what I'm talking about here!

We have lately seen more instances of sudden, severe tics in individuals who did not have tics before. These tics often occur with a very high frequency, are...

Tourette's and "being wound up." Individuals with TS often experience concerns related to anxiety and a lot of stuff can come with that, including lower frustration tolerance, impatience, and irritability at times. Knowing that this happens and why can help reduce some of the stress around it!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Ok it is now time for me to figure out more stuff:

1) Who can view the recording of the workshop? Can anyone see it or just people who paid to attend?

2) If only people who paid to attend can view the recording, can people still pay to get access after it is over?

I've often been asked about the difference between tics and Stimming. There's a lot to discuss there and I cannot get it all in a video, but I tried to cover some of the most essential differences to me.

We have naturally focused on talking about tics so far - the repetitive, generally meaningless movements that show up as a result of neurology. Today I wante...
