👓 Meet Me Monday: Claire! 👋🏼

We first met Claire last spring and thought she’d just be with us for the summer — but she fit in so perfectly, we are lucky enough to still have her around 💙

Claire works as a technician and hopes to one day become an optometrist herself. She’s an incredibly hard worker, always eager to learn new skills, and has a real talent for recognizing when additional testing is needed to give our patients the best care possible.

She’s an awesome team player and we have no doubt she’s going to be wildly successful in her future career. We’re so thankful she’s part of our practice family!

Meet Me Monday with Shana 👋🏼

Shana may be quiet, but don’t let that fool you—her kindness and expertise speak volumes. Working behind the scenes in our optical department, she’s the backbone of our inventory management and contact lens operations. Though she prefers to work out of the spotlight, Shana’s contributions are invaluable in keeping things running smoothly.

Always ready to step up when needed, Shana is quick to assist with frame repairs, guide patients in selecting glasses, or provide hands-on support for contact lens training. Whether she’s helping patients learn how to insert and remove lenses or making sure everything in the department is in top shape, Shana’s attention to detail and willingness to pitch in make her an indispensable member of the team.

Her calm, steady presence behind the scenes helps keep Karns Vision operating at its best—and when you need her, she’s always there to lend a hand with a smile.

We’re sending a big goodbye and good luck to Daniel as he heads off to optometry school!

He’s been an awesome tech this past year — always helpful, always kind, and our unofficial IT guy when things got weird. We’re so proud of him and can’t wait to see him thrive in this next chapter!

Fun fact: Daniel is the sixth tech from our office to go on to optometry school - one of our proudest traditions these days.

Anna has been a part of our team for 2 years, and in that time she’s become one of our most versatile employees. From tech work to patient relations and now training as an optical assistant, there’s truly nothing she won’t jump in and learn.

With her poised presence and model-like elegance, Nina may seem serious at first—but don’t let the look fool you. She has a heart full of warmth, humor, and a deep love for connecting with patients.

Originally from Russia, Nina brings international flair and high-fashion sensibility to our optical department. Her eye for detail and deep understanding of style make her a go-to expert for helping patients find frames that flatter, function, and turn heads.

Despite her Russian roots, Nina is a proud enthusiast of all things Americana—her favorite song is “Red Solo Cup” by Toby Keith, and she’s never one to pass up a good hot dog. When she’s not helping patients look their best, she’s pursuing her passion for modeling and celebrating life with unmistakable charm.

With over 35 years combined experience in Optometry, Karns Vision Center is here to meet all your eyecare needs: from glasses and contacts to the treatment and management of ocular diseases. We offer specialty lens fittings for keratoconus and bifocal contact lenses. We believe that no one is ever too old to try contacts for the first time! We routinely treat red eyes, dry eye conditions, corneal foreign bodies, and many other conditions of the eyes and eyelids. We have the latest in OCT technology to aid in the early detection of glaucoma and retina disease, such as diabetic retinopathy. We also offer comanagement in LASIK and cataract surgery.
