Hey yall it’s USHER with MS Daily Struggles with USHER. This morning I wanted to talk about a newer study researchers are looking into involving the “glymphatic system” in people living with MS.
Scientists are now studying how the brain’s natural waste-clearing system may not work properly in people with MS. A newer 2026 study showed signs that inflammation and lesions could affect how the brain clears out waste and toxins during sleep. Researchers believe this may connect to brain fog, fatigue, headaches, and even disease progression over time. (frontiersin.org)
Why is this important? Because it’s making researchers take sleep, hydration, inflammation, and brain recovery even more seriously in MS patients. They are starting to realize MS may affect WAY more than just nerves and mobility.
A lot of us with MS already know the feeling of exhaustion, brain fog, memory problems, and feeling drained even after resting. Studies like this help prove those symptoms are REAL and not “just in our heads.”
Keep fighting. Keep educating people. And never let anybody downplay what you deal with daily living with MS.
Appreciate y’all love y’all!
