River Valley Health RVH offers primary care, behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, and optometry services to people in TN.

River Valley Health's roots are planted firmly in Tennessee. Since 1960, we have served the health care needs of our neighbors. Our philosophy is simple, we believe the best approach to wellness involves treating both the body and mind. That's why we offer an array of comprehensive primary care, behavioral health, and prevention programs and services. Whether you need medical, dental, behavioral health or optometry care, our compassionate, dedicated staff is here to help you. With 20 clinics across numerous Tennessee counties, RVH's services are never far away. We offer convenient hours and have providers on call 24 hours a day for emergencies. We accept most insurance and TennCare plans and offer flexible payment schedules because we do not think money should ever stand in the way of your health care. River Valley Health receives funding from the federal government and the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS). The United States Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Tennessee Code Annotated (T.C.A.) 4-21-904 ensure your right to receive equal treatment and service opportunities regardless of your race, color, national origin, or English proficiency. No person receiving services at River Valley Health shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, or English proficiency. The holidays are here and so are all those delicious treats! Here are the top 3 ways to enjoy the festive season WITHOUT overdoing it:
1. Don't skip meals – It's tempting to "save room" for the big feast, but arriving starving leads to overeating.
2. Use the plate rule – Fill half your plate with veggies, a quarter with protein and a quarter with those festive favorites.
3. Slow down and savor – Put your fork down between bites, chat with loved ones and actually taste your food.

We were honored to take part in the 17th Annual Carry the Torch event with the Volunteer Ministry Center last week. Our team participated in the Mission Fair and sponsored a table to share information about River Valley Health’s services with attendees.

It was inspiring to come together with community partners and hear from keynote speaker Chamique Holdsclaw, former Lady Vols basketball player.
