Breastfeeding isn’t free.

It costs sleepless nights and tender, cracked ni***es.
It costs hours of pumping, nursing, cleaning bottles, and organizing milk storage.
It costs missed meals, skipped showers, and moments of rest that feel out of reach.
It costs physical pain, emotional overwhelm, and silent mental battles no one else sees.

It costs second-guessing yourself every time your baby cries.
It costs carrying the weight of being their sole source of nourishment.
It costs sitting alone, wide awake, while the rest of the world sleeps, eats, or unwinds because it’s your body keeping them alive.

It costs time. It costs energy. It costs pieces of you that you never thought you’d give away.

Breastfeeding is beautiful, yes.
But it’s also exhausting, sacrificial, and painfully isolating at times.

No, breastfeeding isn’t free.
It’s paid for with the strength of a mother’s body, heart, and soul.

And every mama who chooses it, whether for a week, a month, or a year, deserves respect, support, and endless credit.

Got it! Here's the updated version:

**If you need help boosting your supply, just comment 'boost,' and I'll DM you details on my guide to increase it in less than a week!"**

New research has confirmed that being a mother is equivalent to working 112 hours a week 🤯

In a survey of 2000 mothers, researchers found that the average daily start time of a mother is at 6 am and her end time is not until 10 pm . That’s 16 hours per day plus weekends. 🥵

So next time you are tired or you doubt yourself as a mother,
just remember that you are a QUEEN 👑

One of the biggest scams of modern parenting?
Thinking our babies need picture perfect nurseries, designer clothes, and a closet full of overpriced toys.
They don’t.
They need you.
They want your chest to sleep on, your voice singing off key lullabies, your eyes meeting theirs in the middle of the night.
They don’t care if their onesie was $4 from Walmart.
They don’t care if their crib is from a garage sale.
They don’t need Pinterest-worthy playrooms.
They need a safe place to fall asleep and a parent who loves them fiercely.

So if you’re a new parent drowning in “must-have” lists and Instagram pressure then listen to me:
You are the only thing they truly need.
Not the stuff.
Not the aesthetics.
You.

And you are already enough.

More than enough.

You always have been

Tip of the day:
While prenatal vitamins take care of most of your nutrient needs, there are a couple of other nutrients that you may want more of.

Vitamin D. This vitamin is very important during third trimester when calcium needs increase. Most prenatals do not contain enough Vitamin D

Omega 3 fatty acids. Standard prenatal vitamins do not contain omega 3. benefits on fetal development are uncertain but there's some evidence they may promote fetal brain development.

Breastfeeding Tips for Before Your Baby Arrives
You can start to prepare for your breastfeeding journey even before your baby arrives. Here are some breastfeeding tips to implement before your baby is born.

See a lactation consultant during pregnancy
Did you know that you can make an appointment with a lactation consultant before your baby is even born? Most insurance companies allow for 6 visits or more.

"Consider meeting with a lactation consultant or another nursing expert before you have the baby," suggests Dee Kassing, IBCLC, a lactation consultant in the St. Louis, Missouri, area. "They can share tips that will help in the beginning, and you'll know [who] to call if you have a problem. International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, or IBCLCs, have had the most intensive training."

“Knowing that this one thing is something we’re helping ourselves in addition to our children, I think is very motivating and encouraging,” said Briana Jegier.

Last day in Chicago learning new and exciting things for breastfeeding families. Has been a fun trip, met tons of Lactation consultants from all over. There are 630 LC's representing 47 states. Yesterdays keynote speaker was Allyson Felix, the most decorated Olympic athlete in track and field. Feeling inspired and refreshed!
