On Friday afternoons the sound of harmonicas and laughter drifts from the Pulmonary Function Testing room at Community Howard.
Inside the room, a group of pulmonary rehab patients follow their volunteer instructor as he leads the class through renditions of Jingle Bells, Farmer in the Dell and other jingles.
The harmonica class, an innovative method to increase lung function, is a new edition to pulmonary rehab and it’s easy to see that it is a hit for all involved. We are thankful for caregivers that go the extra mile to find ways to benefit our patients.
