To all AAPC Kokomo Chapter members:

Elections for the 2023 chapter officers must take place in October 2022 and so far, we have no nominees for any office.

Without a certain minimum of chapter officers, we cannot keep the Kokomo chapter running, so this is a call for anyone interested in running to contact me or any other officer immediately.

The following offices must be filled in order to keep the Kokomo chapter open:

President
Vice-President
Secretary
Treasurer (this office can be combined with the Secretary position or filled separately)

Descriptions of all officer duties can be found in the chapter handbook starting on page 20, but essentially, the President arranges meeting locations and exam dates; the Vice-President runs the election and fills in for the President as needed; the Secretary keeps minutes for each meeting and the Treasurer handles any money coming in or going out.

Anyone interested in becoming an officer next year will have an easy to follow roadmap and plenty of assistance from past year officers, but the chapter cannot continue without more member participation. If the Kokomo chapter closes, we will have no more local meetings or local exams and an important coder community asset will be lost.

I, along with all Kokomo chapter officers, encourage anyone interested in participating in the 2023 AAPC Kokomo chapter to contact us immediately to learn more about becoming an officer so we can keep the doors open.

Good morning! Good news is we will be having a meeting in August, just not at our normal spot. We're gonna have a picnic in the park with Big Ben the cow and the sycamore stump. If your not familiar with that it will all make sense when you see it I'll post more a little later, just giving everyone an update. Hope to see you there.

05/30/2020

Happy Saturday morning to ya! Hope this finds everyone doing well. These are trying time and in a situation that we have never experienced.

Some are struggling with being home all the time. I am an introvert by nature so I've been practicing for this my whole life. But it is not lost that others are struggling. We are to physically distance ourselves and keep 6 ft apart. Socially we should reach out to each other and keep in contact. Check on your friends and family to make sure they are doing ok.

Be safe, wash your hands and take care of yourself.
