Our Block Party was a huge success — and it’s all thanks to the amazing residents, families, staff, vendors, and friends from the community who came out to celebrate with us.

From delicious food and live music to fun games and wonderful conversations, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and the kind of moments that remind us why we’re so proud to be part of this community.

A Double Celebration for 103 Remarkable Years! 🎉

Yesterday was a day to remember at Five Star Residences of Northwoods as we celebrated not one—but two—incredible 103rd birthdays!

Please join us in wishing the happiest of birthdays to Ruth Allison and Ruth "Tecky" Short, two extraordinary women who continue to inspire us all with their strength, wisdom, and grace. It was an absolute honor to celebrate such a milestone with them!

We were also deeply honored to welcome Mayor Tyler Moore of Kokomo, who spoke with our residents and presented beautiful personalized letters to both Ruth and Tecky. His presence made this special day even more meaningful, and we thank him sincerely for taking the time to be a part of it.

To the family and friends who came out to share in the joy—thank you. Your love and support filled the room and made the celebration truly unforgettable. 💛

Today, our incredible maintenance team raised a new American flag at Five Star Residences of Northwoods—a simple act that carries deep meaning.

For us, it’s not just about stars and stripes flapping in the breeze. It’s about honoring the brave men and women who served under that flag. It’s about remembering the freedoms it represents. And it’s about showing our residents, especially our veterans, that their sacrifices are never forgotten.

We take pride in caring for this community, and that includes celebrating the country we call home. Whether it's a small gesture like raising a new flag or a full Veterans Day ceremony, we do it with heart, gratitude, and respect.

Bunny Bingo was a hit!

We had an EGG-cellent time yesterday at our Bunny Bingo event, and it was a full house of smiles, laughter, and prizes galore! From festive bingo baskets donated by generous local sponsors (tagged below) to a surprise appearance from one very hoppy bunny (thank you to our fun-loving team member!), the joy was contagious.

Residents and guests alike filled the room with energy and excitement—it was truly a celebration of community.

Because of the overwhelming success and all the great feedback, we're excited to announce that we'll be hosting monthly community bingo events moving forward! Each month will bring a new theme, new prizes, and even more reasons to join in the fun.
