🌟New Employee Spotlight - Jessica Wilbanks, PTA🌟

Jessica has been a physical therapy assistant for 11 years! Prior to attending PTA school, she was also a licensed massage therapist. She is from Carthage and is currently serving at our Carthage location! A fun fact about Jessica is she has two sweet little girls. Jessica also was a college athlete and played softball at East Central. When asked what brought her to Premier Rehab Carthage, Jessica says, “I previously worked at Premier Rehab in Kosciusko and was excited to return when they opened their Carthage clinic.”

⭐️Student Spotlight - Lawanda Parks⭐️
Lawanda is an occupational therapy assistant student at Holmes Community College- Ridgeland! She is originally from Canton. Following graduation, Lawanda plans to work as a full time COTA building her skills and gaining experience in occupational therapy world. When asked what she had enjoyed most about Premier Rehab, Lawanda says, “The spacious and very clean therapy gym was my first favorite thing! Next would be the friendly staff. I have also enjoyed learning and experiencing the clients and the variety of diagnoses being treated!”

Happy physical therapy month! What is physical therapy? Physical therapy is all about motion and mobility!! 🏃🏃‍♀️ Here at Premier Rehab, we offer services such as dry needling (integrative and trigger point), LSVT BIG (treatment for Parkinson’s and neurological disorders), BFR (blood flow restriction), and ASTYM (augmented soft tissue manipulation) as well as hands on treatment by licensed professionals. Our physical therapists have worked with patients of all ages including various athletes, post operative patients, patients with chronic pain, and patients with neurological disorders to assist in returning to their prior level of function!

🌟New Employee Spotlight - Emalee Thrash, OTD, OTR/L🌟
Emalee is from Sebastapol and graduated in May from UMMC! She came to Premier Rehab as an occupational therapy student. We are excited to welcome her back permanently as part of our amazing staff! A fun fact about Emalee is she has a 4 month old little girl that is her world. When asked why she chose Premier Rehab Emalee says, “I completed a 12 week rotation here, and I knew then that I wanted to return as an employee. I love to see the progress patients make and hearing of the difference we make in their lives. I’m happy to be back!”
