🌟 August Employee of the Month: Dr. Anthony Thiros! 🌟
Dr. Thiros grew up in Idaho Falls and lived there most of his life before heading off to Denver for college (and nearly a decade of living there, including a year abroad in Germany 🇩🇪). After a stop in San Francisco 🌉, he went to medical school in Yakima, WA, and in 2018 came to Boise for his 3rd and 4th years of training—and he’s been here ever since! 🌲
💡 Fun fact: He’s both an avid football fan 🏈 and a proud Swiftie 🎶✨.
📚 Outside of work, you can find him reading or crocheting 🧶. His favorite advice? “The grass is not always greener on the other side, it’s just different grass.” 🌱
👨⚕️ He was drawn to medicine because it combined his love of science 🔬 and working with people 💙. His favorite part of the job is connecting with patients on such a personal level while working alongside a phenomenal team.
👏 Professionally, he’s especially proud of being named FCH Rural Teacher of the Year two years in a row for his passion in teaching residents.
At AFM, Dr. Thiros loves that everyone has a voice in this small, close-knit organization, the personalized care patients receive, and of course—all the daily laughter 🤗.
