In the midst of life’s constant changes, both quiet moments and the loud ones— it is easy to forget that we are all moving through this together. If we are seeing the same world unfold before us, then we are sharing the same space, feeling the same pull between tension and calm.

Every single moment we experience matters. We are constantly contributing to the larger rhythm of life, sometimes unknowingly, sometimes with purpose.

Yoga aside, September is Su***de Prevention Awareness month and though we’re strong advocates that one month is never enough to focus on important topics like this or mental health, su***de doesn’t discriminate—it’s an issue that touches every community, regardless of age, background, or location.

Did you know that Idaho is in the top five of highest rates of su***de in the country? According to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, su***de remains one of the leading causes of death in the state, especially among young people. In 2022, Idaho had a su***de rate of 22.7 per 100,000 individuals. What’s even more concerning is that nearly 70% of those who died by su***de in Idaho were not receiving mental health treatment at the time.

This past week we attended the Harmony in Blue Mental Health Summit in Twin Falls. The summit was a beautiful reminder that filling your cup first is a step towards creating a connection to someone in your community that can change a life, possible even save one.

Check in on your family, check in on neighbor, and smile at a stranger. It goes along way.

This September, two powerful cosmic shifts arrive together—the Fall Equinox and the New Moon—offering us a meaningful opportunity to pause, reset, and realign.

The Fall Equinox is the moment of balance between light and dark, when day and night meet as equals. The turning of the season suggests we asks ourselves for grounding, and shed what no longer serves to prepare for the steadiness of autumn.

The New Moon, arriving in this same window, carries the energy of fresh beginnings. Where the equinox asks us to balance, the new moon invites us to dream. It is a time to plant intentions like seeds, trusting that they will take root and grow in the months ahead.

In this 60-minute sound bath and Reiki immersion, we’ll honor the energy of the equinox with soothing vibrations of crystal sound bowls. Reiki energy will be offered throughout to invite the sense of balance. Together, sound and energy create a space for reflection, release, and welcoming the season ahead with clarity and harmony.

We love helping students build a practice while they also connect with yogi peers, during our 6-week Beginner’s Yoga series!

Students will learn effective use props including blankets, blocks, straps and chairs, and the modifications they need to take into other studio classes to help build confidence.

Each season we highlight different asanas that correlate to the seasons as suggested by Ayurveda. We are also adding in a gently heated series during winter, for an intro to heat!

Join one or join all, and build something new for yourself!

Spaces are limited, which allows the instructors to work closer with students for deeper awareness and understanding.

Vata in Ayurveda (yoga’s sister science) is a mix of air and space, and these qualities are predominant of fall and part of winter seasons.

It brings cool, dry, and airy qualities into our bodies and minds. While this energy can inspire creativity and movement, too much Vata often shows up as stiffness, restlessness, or feeling ungrounded. This is where heat in yoga becomes even more of ally.

Warmth softens tight muscles and lubricates joints, and calms the nervous system, reducing the scattered energy of Vata.

As the season shifts and the air gets crisp, we’re leaning into warmth, steadiness, and intentional movement to stay balanced in mind, body and spirit. Think slow flows, grounding breath techniques, and heat-building practices that offer stability and consistency amidst the airy, mobile energy of fall.
