Our judgment-free zone allows for yogis to improve their physical practice and deepen a personal mind-body-spirit connection. Yoga is the union of mind, body and soul through the pairing of breath and movement. It is more than postures, it’s connection to past, present and future versions of ourselves. Yoga strengthens and stretches our bodies and can bring balance through consistency. Yoga was created as a meditation and the postures a tool to keep the mind focused and in the present. Ready to explore the practice of yoga? Oasis Yoga Studio is excited to welcome you in with our special New Student Offer—designed just for those beginning their journey.

Our certified teachers guide classes in yin, hatha, and vinyasa, offered in infrared hot, warm, and unheated environments for all levels. Whether you’re brand new or returning to your mat, we’re here to support your practice every step of the way.

Not sure what to expect? Here are some of the most common questions we hear from new students:

• What do I wear?
Anything that allows you to move comfortably and confidently. Think breathable, stretchy, modest, and easy to move in.

• What should I bring?
A water bottle, yoga mat, and towel if you have them. If not—no worries! We offer rentals and have equipment available for purchase in-studio.

• How early should I arrive?
Doors open 15 minutes before class, giving you time to settle in, meet your teacher, and complete any waivers. At minimum, please arrive at least 5 minutes early. To provide the best experience for all, late arrivals can't be accommodated.

• What if I can’t do the poses?
You’re not expected to do every pose. Every body is built differently, and your practice is your own. Do what feels right, take modifications, and rest whenever you need.

• I heard yoga is “woo woo”.
Like all other things, yoga is whatever you call it, but labels aren’t always universal. Being open to learning breathwork and how to safely move the body in alignment is what we are here for, and yoga is practice that supports everything else in life. Literally- just ask us how.

• What class should I start with?
Truly, any class. All of our instructors are skilled at supporting beginners. If you're curious about hot classes, try warm or unheated first, or jump in and take breaks as needed.

The shorter days invite a quieter kind of strength. At the studio we move with the rhythm of the land — steadier mornings, deeper evenings, and space to listen to what your body is actually asking for. Join our dear friends, here at Oasis as they arrive from India with hearts full of service. Sadhvi Elizabeth and Mahatma Jon are offering an evening of devotion on December 18th from 6–8pm. Their visit seeks support for an education program that brings literacy and computer skills to children who often do not receive these opportunities. The work is simple and powerful. The kind that changes a life from the inside out.

This evening will unfold as a gentle weave of yoga, kirtan, and shared stories from their time in the program over the past two years. Expect a space that invites presence. Expect sound that settles your spirit. Expect a truth-filled look into a project built from compassion and intention.

Think of yourself at your favorite music concert, or listening to your favorite song. How much immersion you have in that moment. You are in complete presence and there is nothing else in the world. This presence brings peace and when we are peaceful then we can meditate properly. Imagine in this place of peace calling in sacred Divine vibrations that automatically shift your consciousness from the inside out...this is Kirtan.

Kirtan is a type of meditation that combines music and mantras (singing sacred sounds). While it might not be exactly what comes to mind when we think of “meditation,” Kirtan is actually one of the most approachable and effective types of meditation in today’s world. The singing makes it easy for our mind to be engaged in the present, the music makes it catchy and enjoyable and the mantra infuses its powerful spiritual vibration into our hearts.

Living life with intention creates opportunities for fulfillment.

Through the lens of Ayurveda, we begin to see that our struggles are not flaws, but signals. The tiredness, the fog, the restlessness, the feeling of being out of sync— it’s the body and mind calling for balance.

Ayurveda teaches that everything within us is connected to everything around us. The shifting seasons, the food we eat, the sleep we get, the thoughts we hold. It all plays a part of shaping our state of being. When we learn to listen, we begin to understand our natural rhythms and what brings us peace and contentment.

It’s a remembering that we are part of nature, not separate from it. A slowing down, long enough to notice what our body truly needs, and finding purpose through alignment, instead of resistance of natural flow.

Ayurveda is a lifestyle practice of self-study, or svadhyaya. It’s not a quick fix, but a sacred map, teaching a way of living that honors your individuality and the cycles of life.

Move away from survival and into presence— from imbalance to clarity.

This class invites you to checkin during the holidays to pause, breathe, and reconnect with gratitude through the balancing practices of pranayama and yoga nidra. We’ll begin with mindful breathwork to quiet the nervous system and prepare the body for deep rest, then ease into a guided yoga nidra— an effortless meditation where the body relaxes and the mind remains gently aware.

Student testimonies shows that yoga nidra supports measurable physiological and psychological benefits. The practice can also reduce cortisol levels, improve sleep quality, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Regular practice has been linked to improved mood, reduced anxiety, and increased ability to focus and remain present.
