✨ We are honored to be hosting Nana Marina and the spiritual guides from Guatemala here at Hummingbird House ✨
These are true lineage holders—carriers of Mayan Tz’utujil wisdom—offering their prayers, teachings, and healing through sacred fire, cacao, to***co, and traditional practices that have been passed down through generations.
🌿 Private 1:1 sessions are available
If you feel called to receive guidance, healing, or deeper connection, I invite you to reach out to me directly to schedule a session.
🔥 We also had 1–2 spaces open up for the full retreat weekend—if you’ve been feeling the call, this may be your moment to step in.
This is a rare and powerful opportunity to sit with elders and spiritual guides in a very real and intimate way.

There are moments when I can feel how easy it is to get pulled into the currents of human experience…the emotions, the dramas, the stories unfolding all around us, and how quickly they can begin to take hold of my attention. And I notice how easy it can be to step out of my own center and into the noise of it all.
But this is the practice. To recognize the distraction without becoming it. To witness what is and what is not mine to carry while staying focused on my path.
So I bring myself back. Again and again, I return to my center, to that quiet inner compass that doesn’t shout but always knows. There is a discipline in this, a kind of devotion to stay in right relationship with where my energy is called to go, to keep tending the direction of my prayers, my practices, service.
Because the truth is, the conversations happening in nature are speaking far more clearly than anything any human can say. The plants don’t rush me. The wind doesn’t demand. The earth doesn’t pull me out of myself. They remind me. They show me how to root deeper, to listen more honestly, to be in right timing.
So this morning I reflect on choosing to return. To stillness. To silence. To the language of the plants. To prayer. I place my attention where life is actually speaking, and from there… I move.

We gather in the warmth of Hummingbird House to welcome friend and kirtan artist Scott Moss to our Hummingbird Community. FreeDom will share sound healing and Cacao to support the evening. Together we will co-facilitate an evening of heart-centered chant, weaving harmonium, instuments, and voice into a shared field of prayer.
This is a space to sing, to listen, to soften, and to remember ourselves in community.
We will enjoy a cup of ceremonial cacao during our kirtan, a gentle heart ally to support presence and connection, followed by a lovingly prepared Ayurvedic community meal designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit. The food will be warm, grounding, and supportive to all, honoring the intelligence of the seasons and the wisdom of shared table.
Expect:
– Devotional chanting in an intimate group
– Warm, welcoming atmosphere
– Meaningful connection
– A consciously prepared Ayurvedic dinner by Earth Nourishment Wellness
– The sweetness of gathering as spiritual friends
This evening is about community. About song as prayer. About food as medicine. About remembering that spiritual life is meant to be lived together at the hearth in joy
Space will be intentionally limited to keep the circle intimate.

Cómo no voy a cantar si lo tengo todo para cantar? Si tengo la luna, si tengo el sol, si tengo las estrellas, si tengo el amor.
What a beautiful opening weekend of the KODA Apprenticeship. There’s something really special about women coming together with open hearts, sharing space, stories, laughter, and the deeper moments that remind us how much we are connected. I’m already feeling the beginnings of a very sweet sisterhood forming.
Now the house is quiet again and everyone has gone home. I’m ending the night soaking in a Cleopatra bath of rose, honey, and milk… a little moment to honor the divine feminine and to let the beauty of the weekend settle into my bones.
How fitting that it all falls on International Women’s Day. Feeling grateful tonight for the women who showed up and for the path we’re beginning together. 🌹

Equinox is approaching 🌀☀️🌑 🌀
You are warmly invited to gather with us in ceremony to honor the Spring Equinox, a sacred threshold where light and dark meet in balance, and the Earth begins her slow, steady unfurling toward new life.
We will sit together around the altar, sharing ceremonial cacao, singing our prayers, and offering intentions for the season ahead. This is a time of renewal, emergence, and remembering what is ready to grow within us. As the days lengthen and warmth returns, we pause to listen to the wisdom of the heart, the quiet guidance of the Earth, and the medicine of community.
Together we will join at the altarspace, share cacao as a heart-opening plant ally, sing, pray, and reflect in circle, set intentions for balance, growth, and new beginnings, and root our visions into the fertile soil of the season.
This ceremony is gentle, grounding, and community-centered. No prior experience with cacao or ceremony is needed, only a willingness to arrive as you are. Come to be nourished, to be witnessed, and to celebrate the turning of the wheel alongside kindred hearts.
All are welcome.

We are never too old to begin again.
Never too old to pick up the instrument, to try the new language, to move our bodies in ways we once believed were only for “the gifted.”
For so long I believed music belonged to certain people…the chosen ones, the naturally talented, the ones who started young. I told myself it was out of reach. I let other voices echo in my mind: You should play this way. You’re not ready to share. Wait until you’re better.
But here is the truth I am living now…if it moves your spirit, it is already yours.
When I pick up my instruments… when I let my voice rise without overthinking it… my soul feels free. Not because I am perfect. Not because I have reached some imaginary level. But because I am connected to the Divine, to beauty, to the living pulse of this life.
The outside noise will always try to distract us from what we long for. It will tell us to wait. To polish. To be smaller. To stay quiet.
But we did not come here to stay quiet about what sets us free.
If there is something you want to learn go seek it.
If something stirs your heart share it.
If your spirit feels alive when you do it. That is reason enough.
The time is now.
We are not too old.
We are right on time.
Today I am grateful for the snowfall the hush, the pause, the permission to sit with my instruments and remember why I came here.
Go do the thing.
Have a blessed day. ☀️🫶🏽☀️

To all the prayer singers, Earth lovers, peace bringers, light workers, and students walking this sacred path of life…
In these times we are living, the world is asking for steady hearts, grounded voices, and deep, sincere prayers. The drum is one of the oldest ways we remember how to offer them. Its beat connects us to the universal heartbeat, the pulse of the Earth, of Spirit, and of one another.
When you make your own medicine drum, it becomes more than an instrument. Every knot holds intention. Every weave carries your prayers. Every sound becomes a ripple of healing moving outward into the world. It is something you will walk with for years, through ceremony, through song, through grief, through celebration. A companion for your voice and a vessel for your heart.
This is why I offer Prayer in Rhythm: A Drum Making Ceremony.
A space to create with your hands, your breath, and your spirit.
A space to remember your voice.
A space to root your prayers into something living and lasting.
If you feel the call to deepen your path…
If you feel the pull to pray more fully, more audibly, more embodied…
If you want to create something powerful and beautiful that supports your healing and the healing of this world…
Come make your medicine drum with me.
Registration is open now and closing a few days
I would be honored to sit in circle and create alongside you. Link in bio.

An offering to Aquarian Season. May we be free like the breeze on the everchanging sea 🌊…. In a couple of weeks, I’ll be celebrating another trip around the sun, and it feels deeply right to honor this moment in circle with my sisters. ✨
I invite you to join me for a Women’s Cacao Ceremony on February 7, as we step into the medicine of Aquarius season…the visionary, the truth-speaker, the one who dreams not just for herself, but for the collective.
The nature of Aquarius reminds us that our prayers, our songs, and our intentions are not small. When woven together, they become a living offering. In ceremony, we’ll gather our hearts and minds to create, to listen, and to offer our prayers as a service to humanity, calling in unity, peace, and a deeper remembering of our shared humanity.
We begin where all true change begins: within ourselves.
From that place, our intentions ripple outward.
This is also a celebration of life,
this breath, this body, this precious and fleeting gift of being here.
✨ If you feel called to sit in cacao, song, prayer, and sisterhood, I would love to celebrate together.
Please click link in bio to reserve your place

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
-Mahatma Gandhi
Peace is not passive.
It is an active, embodied practice.
When cultivated within, it becomes medicine,
quietly reshaping the spaces we walk into,
softening what has been hardened,
and reminding the world of what is possible when we live from the inside out.
May we tend the inner garden with care,
and trust that what we grow there
will naturally offer itself to the world.

If you’re still looking for a meaningful gift, consider offering the gift of healing.
When you give somebody a massage gift certificate you are giving them an invitation to slow down, soften the nervous system, and return to the body with care. In this season of movement and momentum, bodywork becomes a place to land, recalibrate, and receive.
✨ Grounded therapeutic touch
✨ Nervous system support
✨ A pause that ripples into everyday life
Perfect for the one who does everything for everyone… or for someone you love who needs to be reminded that rest is part of the medicine.

My name is FreeDom. FreeDom Flowers. Yes, it is my real name! I changed my name when I was twenty-one years old to FreeDom as a reminder to not be limited by my fears. A story for another time. Fifteen years later, I married the love of my life who happened to have the last name Flowers. So here I am with this amazing name I have come to embrace!
I am a mama to THREE beautiful boys whom I love like crazy! I started this site as a blog to share my love of herbal medicine with you which has now evolved to embody so much more of what I offer. I am an earth lover by nature, a healer by trade, and an advocate for the wild sacred feminine because it feeds my soul. I love working with plant medicines and women who truly want to rise into their sacred power. I love what I do and truth be told, it is more of an extension of who I am rather than a job. I have always lived by the model of find what you love and make something happen with it which brings me here to y'all.
My Journey
In the past few years I took a major shift in my career. I was an owner of a successful and respected Massage Therapy Center and Herbal Healing Practice called The Sanctuary for Healing Therapies. I started that business in 2008 as a single mother of a beautiful little boy in a small little room the size of a closet. I loved what I did and I wanted to make sure I could support my son and myself with that career choice. So I grew. Slowly, each year I expanded and created something great and beautiful. It gave my son and me the life I truly desired for us, supported six others that worked at my company, and took care of an entire community of clients. It was wonderful and I wouldn't have changed it for the world. However, over the years, I started to burn out managing and running my business that I started to not love it anymore. I needed a change desperately and so I took some time to do soul searching on what I wanted with my life.
It became very clear to me that my business was a major drain on my body, mind, and spirit. The thing that I loved so much was the human connection, being with my clients in the treatment room, assisting them in their healing process, making herbal medicine, having time to learn new tools to bring into my work. Having a family dinner at the table every night. Being creative. I missed those things so much it hurt. That's when I realized. It was time. Although The Sanctuary was successful, I wasn't happy anymore and that is not true success.
Success to me means constantly changing and growing. Since the day I closed the door to that nothing but new doors have been opening. This is the journey. Trusting in your intuition and making moves and turns where it feels appropriate. I am so incredibly grateful for letting go enough to trust myself and my path! It never fails me.
So here I am. I offer you my gifts. The Sanctuary for Healing Therapies has evolved into Mama Flowers….and Mama Flowers has evolved to embrace all of the different aspects of the work that I love.
My Mission
My mission is to deliver you the best. I am here because I stand for women rising and empowering themselves. I strive to educate and support you in bettering your health, wellbeing, and coming into your sacred power as a woman. This is a partnership and I intend on giving my best to support to you in obtaining your optimal health and happiness with herbs, ceremonial cacao, bodywork, empowerment sessions, and various healing shamanic tools . As I said, I will give you my very best. That is true of my time, service, and products. I only work with companies who have a similar viewpoint, are organic, bio dynamic, or wild-crafted , and where it is not a threat to the plants, our planet, or our communities. I always make sure that the healing work we do is individualized to fit you like a glove. Whether it’s with botanical medicine, empowerment sessions, ceremony, and/or any of the bodywork modalities I use. Life and healing is not a one-size-fits-all deal! Each method, just like each person, is so individual. I work to make sure that the plan we put together matches you and I continue to work with you to refine this as it needs adjusting
