Celebrate Happy Healthy Kids Day at the Y- and it’s Totally FREE!!

Join the YMCA on Friday, April 26 for Happy Healthy Kids Day- a free, family-friendly event filled with fun activities, games, and community vendors. It’s a great opportunity to get active, learn something new, and connect with others in a lively, welcoming environment.

Let’s come together to keep our kids safe 🫶🏼 Thank you, Kyle Police Department for the great information!

A message to parents,

The truth is, that most children don’t fully grasp just how dangerous substance use can be. That’s why it’s so important for parents to have safe and open conversations with their kids about drugs and alcohol, especially when it comes to potentially deadly substances like fentanyl.

It needs to go beyond saying “Don’t do drugs”. We need to give them the tools to handle these tough situations. Whether it’s peer pressure or just trying to fit in, kids need to know how to stay safe, make smart choices, and say no when it matters most.

Teaching kids how to be strong in the face of pressure helps them build confidence and resilience. When they know how to stand their ground, they’re much more likely to make the right call and avoid risky situations. With spring break right around the corner, let’s make sure our kids can enjoy their vacation free from substance use and the dangers that go along with it.

Our friends with Hays Latinos United will be out today to distribute hats and gloves in preparation for the cold that’s on its way! Make your way out there this afternoon and be sure to spread the word!

Today Only and while supplies last, in preparation of the cold that is coming HLU will be providing free beanie hats and gloves for kids. We have some coats that you are welcome to take.
