Home Health provides medical and personal care needs in your home. Services are provided by nurses, certified nurse aides, therapists & social workers.

Baraga County Home Care & Hospice is a department of Baraga County Memorial Hospital. We are a team of Health Care Professionals committed to providing quality medical care to you in your home. Skilled Nursing Services:
~Assessment & evaluation of all medical conditions
~Teaching all aspects of the home management of disease & treatment
~Management of wound care & chronic pain
~Home intravenous therapies
~Respiratory care
~Enterostomal care
~RN on call 24 hours a day

Home Health Aide Services:
~Bathing, personal care, light meal preparation, assistance with ambulation and prescribed exercise. Physical Therapy:
~Evaluation, therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training and the treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. Occupational Therapy:
~Techniques to increase independence, strength and safety in daily living activities. Medical Social Services:
~Problem solving, short term counseling, community resource planning, financial concerns and long range planning. Hospice Care compassionately addresses all the needs of a person who has life-limiting illness - not just the immediate physical needs, but also the emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs. In addition, Hospice addresses the needs of the family & friends of the ill person to the greatest extent possible. Hospice care includes:
~Treatment related to the life-limiting illness
~Medications to control pain & manage other symptoms
~Home care visits by hospice staff: Nurse, Home Health Aide, Social Work, Chaplain, Volunteers & your Physician
~Short term inpatient care and respite care
~Medical supplies and equipment

Baraga County Home Care & Hospice recently received a donation from the L'Anse Ladies Golf League at their fundraiser for Hospice!

The fundraiser was dedicated in memory of the late Gayle Isaacson

Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our annual Love Light ceremony last night. A special thanks to Bells on the Bay for providing the beautiful music during the ceremony. We are grateful for the opportunity to share in this event as a community, and to honor those still living and those dear to us that have passed.

Press Ganey is a national company responsible for administering our patient satisfaction surveys. The Guardian of Excellence Award is only given to agencies who have sustained results over a year in the 95th percentile for patient experience, engagement, and clinical quality performance. We are honored to have received this award!
