That’s not just overthinking. It’s your body still running on survival mode.

For so long, being busy felt safer than being still. You learned that keeping it together meant everything would stay okay. So now when you stop, your system doesn’t know what to do. It starts scanning for what’s next.

It’s not because you’re bad at relaxing. It’s because your body doesn’t fully trust that rest is safe yet.

That’s what we work on inside 1:1 somatic sessions, helping your body remember that slowing down doesn’t mean something’s wrong.

You call it being the strong one.
The one who holds it all together.
The one people can count on.
The one who keeps everything running because if you stop, it might all fall apart.

But your body knows what your mind keeps trying to ignore.
You’ve never actually felt safe enough to stop.

You’ve been holding your breath for years, calling it “strength.”
Doing more so you don’t have to feel.
Taking care of everyone else so you don’t have to notice how tired you are.

And somewhere along the way, your nervous system decided that constant tension was normal.
That calm meant danger.
That rest wasn’t safe.

You’re not broken for feeling that way.
You just learned to survive by staying busy.
And your body hasn’t been shown another way yet.

That’s what we do together in 1:1 somatic sessions.
We teach your body that it’s safe to slow down.
We unlearn the patterns that made you believe peace has to be earned.

You don’t have to keep proving you’re strong.
You get to feel safe instead.

For most of my life, I treated every emotion like something I had to get rid of.
If I felt anxious, I tightened my schedule.
If I felt heavy, I searched for a lesson.
If I felt grief, I tried to rise above it.

It looked like growth, but really, I was abandoning the parts of me that needed love the most.

The real shift didn’t come from more discipline. It came from allowing myself to sit in the feeling without forcing it to change. To let my body tremble, ache, burn, and breathe until it softened on its own. To ask, not “How do I fix this?” but “What is this showing me?”

That is where calm began for me. Not from control, but from inner safety.

And if you are someone who carries everything so quietly… who looks fine on the outside but feels like chaos lives under your skin… I want you to know you are not hard to heal. You are simply tired of being at war with your own body.

In 1:1 somatic sessions, we do not rush. We unshame.
We create a space where your feelings are not problems, but messengers.
