As a cord of three strands is not easily broken, a doula comes along side to help make a couple stronger during this time. God's Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:12 "And if someone overpowers one person, two can resist him. A doula is a woman who comes along side a birthing woman and her husband to help them be stronger and calmer during labor. My family and I created the name for my business Three Strands based on this verse and a few other things representing threes.
-My first three (of 9 total) children are 3 girls that aspire to be midwives and doulas themselves.
-The umbilical cord is made of 3 parts. There are two umbilical arteries and one umbilical vein.
-The care that I can provide is for prenatal, labor, and postpartum. I desire to aid couples during a most precious and vulnerable time by being an advocate for them and the birth they hope for.

Open for booking doula clients this fall! August-November 2025 availability (before my own little bit comes in December!) Are you or someone you know wanting to have a labor and delivery where they are supported, heard and prayed for? I can serve from Raleigh/Durham to Richmond and about anywhere between! It’s been a crazy season. I had a shoulder/arm injury that caused me to not be much capable of doula support, but in God’s kindness, pregnancy has relieved almost all of my symptoms. We moved into our home, mostly settled and I’m ready for some births!
