As a cord of three strands is not easily broken, a doula comes along side to help make a couple stronger during this time. God's Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:12 "And if someone overpowers one person, two can resist him. A doula is a woman who comes along side a birthing woman and her husband to help them be stronger and calmer during labor. My family and I created the name for my business Three
Strands based on this verse and a few other things representing threes.
-My first three (of 9 total) children are 3 girls that aspire to be midwives and doulas themselves.
-The umbilical cord is made of 3 parts. There are two umbilical arteries and one umbilical vein.
-The care that I can provide is for prenatal, labor, and postpartum. I desire to aid couples during a most precious and vulnerable time by being an advocate for them and the birth they hope for.
