Yesterday, we stood with over 450 pharmacist and staff members at our State Capitol in Topeka to advocate for our patients and community pharmacies. There is so much work to be done with PBM reform, but today sparked great conversations about the issues and made an impact on the legislators.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who offered their support and took time to write letters to our legislators! Your efforts truly make a difference, and we will continue to need these efforts in the future.

Every employee at G&L Pharmacy and Rush County Pharmacy cares deeply about our patients, and we hope you can feel that every time you come in and pick up a prescription. We are proud to be your local pharmacy and hope to continue giving you pharmacy care right here at home.

As a bonus, we got to see our favorite pharmacy students, Makenzie Flax and Paige Holopirek.

📢We will be closed on Wednesday, February 5th so our staff can head to Topeka to stand up for our pharmacy and our patients! We’ll tell lawmakers to make sure people can get their medicine, stop pharmacies from closing, and fix unfair PBM rules.

💊 What’s Happening?
Big companies called PBMs decide how we get medicine to you. They make it hard for small pharmacies to stay open by paying us less than what we pay for the medicine. They also take back money with tricky rules.
If nothing changes this year, closures like ours could last forever. Pharmacies that stay open can’t safely take care of all the extra prescriptions from other pharmacies closing. Mail-order services also take too long or don’t keep medicine safe, which could hurt patients.

● Help us fight for fair rules so everyone can get the medicine they need.
