HOPE
I know the world has felt impossibly hard & scary lately. We’ve witnessed terrible injustices happen to our neighbors in Minnesota & across the country with our own eyes, only to be met with a lack of accountability by those inflicting deep harm.
To those of you who are pregnant, postpartum, & in the thick of raising children, I am so sorry. I know this is not the world you want to bring your babies into. I see you, I hear you, I am you. This is not the world I want for my children either.
As mothers our hearts know the depth of the love we feel for our children. We realize that all mothers, no matter their circumstances or background, feel this intense love for their babies & would do anything to protect them. When we see harm inflicted on mothers & children, it collectively hurts our hearts. There is no such thing as other people’s children. We are all connected.
But where there is love & heartbreak, there is also hope.
By raising your children with love & kindness, & teaching them to love & respect their black, brown, immigrant, & indigenous neighbors, there is hope. By taking actions to advocate for justice there is hope. By taking moments to care for yourself, your family, & your community, there is hope. By taking moments to rest, play, move, & find joy there is hope.
is a safe space for all mothers to move, breathe, pause, be in community & hope.
We take care of each other. Hold onto hope.❤️
