Time to return to Yoga Sutra Sangha!

On Friday, April 3 from 4:30–6:00 PM, Jennie Williford will guide another evening of reflection, discussion, and shared learning centered around the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

Sangha means community, and this gathering offers a space to come together and explore the deeper teachings of yoga. The postures we practice are just one part of a much larger tradition of self-study, awareness, and transformation.

Whether you have been attending each month or are joining for the first time, you are warmly invited to take part. There is no need to attend every session, come when you can and engage with the material in a way that feels meaningful to you.

This is a free, online class, making it easy to participate from wherever you are.

We are excited to welcome Sam back to The Yoga Place! 🤸🏼‍♀️

Sam brings a depth of experience shaped by years of practice and a strong, steady approach to movement and learning. What began as an introduction to yoga in the 90s has grown into a meaningful practice she continues to share with others in a thoughtful and approachable way.

Her classes offer a supportive space to learn, explore, and build understanding over time.

New to Iyengar Yoga?

Our Beginning Fundamentals class is a welcoming place to start!

Here you will be introduced to the foundations of the practice, learning how standing poses build strength and stability while developing awareness of alignment and thoughtful action in each posture.

In this class, yoga is approached as a process of learning. Students begin to understand the fundamentals of asana, explore different categories of poses, and become familiar with the language and structure of the practice. With clear instruction and supportive guidance, the goal is to build a strong and steady foundation that supports your practice over time.

Whether you are completely new to yoga or curious about the Iyengar method, this class offers a supportive way to begin.

Neck & Shoulders Part 2!

This set of poses continues to support the neck and shoulders by encouraging space and stability in the upper body through thoughtful alignment and steady action. When practiced with attention, these poses can help reduce tension and allow the shoulders and neck to function with greater balance and ease.

You may choose to practice one or two of these poses, or move through all of them depending on the time you have and what your body needs that day.
