💧Oil of the week: Marjorum

With its picy, woody, herb scent, Marjoram assists in calming the nerves when inhaled.

Marjoram is known as the "herb of happiness" to the Romans and "joy of the mountains" to the Greeks. It's believed to increase longevity. Marjoram has been used for over 1,500 years in herbal treatments and early medicine.

In the Raindrop Technique, marjoram is the seventh essential oil used. We use the Circular Hand Massage along the sides of the back to help strengthen muscles, calm nerves and improve circulation.

Whats the difference between a Raindrop and a regular massage?🤔

Did you know that the spine is linked to your nervous system and all around wellbeing? How about that the majority of stress and toxins we have in our bodies are all built up along our spine and stay there until we release it?

While our goal with the Raindrop Technique is to help relieve you of stress and balance your body, understand that it is not a full-body deep tissue massage. It is the act of rubbing essential oils along the spine on the back and neck with specific have motions, and into the spine Vitaflex Points of your feet to loosen build up.

We do a bit of tissue pulling, but your muscles will not need the recovery time like a deep tissue. Some people say they prefer a Raindrop because the oils give off such a relaxing aroma during our time, and provide such wonderful benefits after.🤗

Wintergreen is known for being stimulating and increasing awareness in all levels of the sensory system.

The leaves have been chewed to increase respiratory capacity by Native Americans. Settlers in early America chewed the leaves in spring time to prevent tooth decay. Wintergreen leaves were even used as a substitute for black tea during the Revolutionary War.

💧Oil of the week: Basil

Basil essential oil has a fresh, herbaceous aroma that can be calming and refreshing. Its scent is also said to help fight mental fatigue. Basil's name is derived from "basileum," the Greek name for king.

Basil leaves are used extensively in Asian medicine. In the 16th century, the powdered leaves were inhaled to treat migraines and chest infections.

In the Raindrop Technique, basil essential oil is the third oil used. It's scent relaxes the mind while the oil being "feathered" on the back relaxes the muscles. Basil essential oil is powerful as it also strengthens the immune system.
