WINN (What I Need Now) & Driftless Recovery Services are incredibly honored to have been chosen last night by La Crosse SOUP in support of our More Than Just a Meal program.

This funding means so much because it helps us continue creating spaces where nourishment goes beyond food — offering connection, support, and community to those we serve. Every meal shared is an opportunity for hope, healing, and belonging.

Thank you to La Crosse SOUP, everyone who attended, and every person who believes in our mission. Your support reminds us that community truly changes lives.

And Our Final Pitch for our event on May 13 comes from What I Need Now and Driftless Recovery Services.

They want to continue hosting a monthly "More than a Meal" event that includes a meal, games, free haircuts, foot care, hospitality, and community. They strive to foster communication and understanding between our unsheltered and marginalized neighbors, people in the recovery community, and the larger community. They plan to offer 'More than a Meal" at least monthly on the last Wednesday of each month, possibly twice a month.

The money raised will be used for food to prepare meals, soda, paper plates, utensils, and rental of a park shelter or community space. Goal: $3000.

Thank you Pizza Ranch, Tristan Landers and your crew, and the entire community that came out to support the Driftless Recovery Community Foundation and eat some of the best pizza in town! We raised just over $1,300. That money will provide a young man with 2 months of housing and programming. However, with two full match donors, he will receive 6 months of housing, and 6 full months of programming! Your generosity will change a life! Thank you!
