Happy and grateful to have Angel's House of Healing in our area!

💜While I often talk about the women of Angel’s House, the truth is… this home would not be what it is today without the generosity, integrity, and man power of Driftless Recovery Services.

When we purchased this house, we set a bold goal: to get it open in just 5 weeks. There’s no way that could have happened without these men. They stepped in with open hands, open hearts, and a vision for what was possible.

Many of them have seen the women in their own lives impacted by addiction — yet without a safe home or community to call their own. So no one was more excited about Angel’s House than these guys. They didn’t just bring tools; they brought their energy, their prayers, and their blessings into these walls.

The Driftless crew quite literally made this house come alive.
As we’ve built a sisterhood, they’ve been the brotherhood cheering us on. They are examples of what healing looks like: hard work, integrity, and a commitment to real change.

Over and over they’ve said, “Call us if you need us.” And they mean it. 🙌

We are so grateful to Driftless Recovery for welcoming Angel’s House to the table in the fight against addiction, and for all of the support they’ve given us along the way.

Because at the end of the day… we’re all in this together. 💛

What a great night! We cooked up and served 200 hamburgers, 100 hotdogs, pounds of potato salad and a side dish of hope! A huge thank you to Sue at What I Need Now. You are the matriarch of all of this and a huge beacon of hope for so many. Thank you to the Franciscan Sisters for showing up to help serve! Thank you to City of La Crosse Mayor Shaundel Spivey for coming through and spending the evening talking and hanging out with everyone. Meant more than you know to many. Finally, thank you to the skilled barbers and stylists from Golden Cut’z Barbershop here in La Crosse for offering up free haircuts all evening. Please support this shop as they selflessly support our community! We will plan another event in August! , ,

More Than a Meal is a free community event put on by WINN, Driftless Recovery Services, and Driftless Housing Services at the Copeland Park North Shelter. There will be great food, a free raffle and prizes, free haircuts, and a Driftless resource booth. Thank you to Sue Rieple Graff and WINN for working with us on this event!

Tonight at our sober house meeting we had the bittersweet experience of saying goodbye to Jason. Jason is a warrior and a great example of self discipline, personal accountability, drive, and dedication to his recovery. He pivots to the positive when met with adversity and works the problem without a complaint. Jason has been with us at the house for 11 months. Prior to the house he was homeless for years and struggled significantly with substance misuse. In his 11 months at the house he has gone back to school at WTC and completed his GED, got back to working 40+ hours per week earning a phenomenal wage with a major employer,, has remained 100% sober the entire time, and has saved enough money to now take the next step into his own house. We couldn't be more proud of you, Jason. Keep on being you!

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the baseball team this season. One of the ideas was to create a Wall of Thanks where people stop in the moment and consider what they are thankful for. Happy to hear it was a big hit with the fans! Looking forward to the season!
