Mom arrived to the Birthcenter and was holding her baby in her arms 8 minutes later! Third babies are usually unpredictable and he sure did surprise us all. His big sisters will be overjoyed to see what's wrapped up in that little blue blanket 🩵
It was a perfect day to celebrate new life!

If there is one thing that is unpredictable in childbirth it's due dates! February babies born in March. April babies born in March. March babies waiting for April. Babies come in their own time 🤍

What a victorious birth! Midwife made it just five minutes before baby was born. Mom was strong and courageous throughout all the twists and turns. Dad was calmly by her side reassuring her every step of the way. Birth is never predictable and perhaps that's what makes us honor birth and respect mothers so much 🤍

Honored to work with this family for a third time. I love hearing dad sing his children to sleep and rocking side by side with mom in the matching rocking chairs. We are from different cultures, but we have the same heart for our children and motherhood.
I take the responsibility of caring for my families seriously. It is a blessing getting invited into not only someone's life but also into their sacred birth space. The relationship between a family and their midwife is one of understanding and connection 💜

Sweet 6 week visit with this handsome guy and his sweet mama 🤎 I am so honored to watch their family grow! Their birth is a good word picture of God doing more than we could even ask or think. So proud of all the work mama put into preparing her body, heart and mind 👏🏻

Yesterday two new babies were born into loving homes and two moms were welcomed into motherhood for the first time 💜
First time moms enter labor with such courage and determination in the face of the unknown. Oftentimes, they are surprised as labor progresses at the true meaning of what a "labor of love" actually is. And then...and then there is the wide eyed shock and joy at touching and seeing their first child for the very first time. The proud look that mom and dad both exchange in awe of the miracle they just experienced together for the first time. There is an absolute sense of strength and power that they didn't know they even possessed. There is nothing that can hinder a mother's love 💜

3 babies were born in just under 13 hours and I was blessed to be there for all of their births 🤍 Monday night we were getting close to home from our return trip from NC where we had welcomed our firstborn's baby when baby #1's mama called and said her water had broke. Five minutes after baby #1 was born, baby #2's mama sent a text that labor was picking up. Five minutes after baby #2 was born, baby #3's daddy called saying mama was in hard labor and was ready to come to the Birthcenter. My feet hit the ground running attending 3 births totaling 26 # 7oz of sweet cherub chub 🤍

It's been a busy weekend! A sweet baby girl was born at home early yesterday morning. Mom & Dad are excited with being first time parents! Lots of oohing and aahing 🤎
Another precious baby girl was born at home before noon today! It seems like just yesterday we welcomed her brother into the world. Big brother is definitely going to take his role seriously and take care of his little sister 🤎
