6 week postpartum visit! Sweet baby girl with dark fuzzy hair and chubby cherub cheeks weighed 11 # 14oz. 🎀

I am blessed! Midwifery is a calling of the heart 💗 Happy to be back with my families. Midwifery has a whole new meaning to me now. One thing I have realized is that more is not always better and busy does not equal success. In order to serve my own family and birthing families well, I will be taking fewer clients each month. One of my favorite parts about postpartum home visits is the chatty, sweet and bold 3 year olds. They all literally melt my heart 🤍

Beautiful birth this morning! Mom eased 8 # 14oz baby girl through her nuchal cord and into the warm water earthside. Dad and both grandmas attentive to mom's every need and standing witness to this little miracle. She is the fourth head of dark, fuzzy hair to join this sweet family and the third I have been honored to attend at birth 🤍

In the darkness of the early morning, mom labored peacefully in her cozy home. As the rooster crowded, mom declared, "It's time" and a pink, squishy 8 baby girl slid into my hands and was lifted on to mom's chest. We gave each other a knowing smile of victory 💕 Big sisters are going to be thrilled to meet the newest addition to their family!
