Just a heads up! HWY 30 will be closed for a couple of weeks starting August 17th so that the new owner can come in and make the shop theirs. They hope to have it up and running September 1.
Stop in and see us before the end of Saturday to get some great deal on glass and other.

La Grande we need to get Adult use on the ballot or just have city council pass it.
And here is why!
Shared Revenue of record cannabis sales plus another 3% just for the city.
We could stop the franchise fees that are forever multiplying on our utility bills.
Money for the police, by lifting the ban we can apply for a yearly grant until 2024 under HB1544. Funding rural communities’ fight against unregulated market activity. Some cities and counties have received $200-600K in grant money to get the black market off the streets.
Safe & Strict Access, Regulated shops products are tracked from seed to sale. All products must meet strict testing guidelines, potency, pesticides and mold. Strict access to prevent youth from acquiring cannabis products such as multiple ID checks and packaging regulation.
JOBS, cannabis industry jobs can range from a budtender to a cultivator. On average cannabis industry jobs make $15/hr in Oregon. From just retail shops we can expect anywhere from 50-100 tax paying jobs created. More jobs in wholesale, production and processing positions.
Economy Boost, with a new industry coming to town these businesses will need ancillary services and products ranging for payroll, accountancy, hardware, remodeling services, advertising and more. All of which will be pumping dollars into the local economy.

The committee that was been work on getting an initiative on this year’s ballot would like to share some information with you. Let put Legal Adult Use on the ballot.
Petition ID remember to sign the petition if asked and here is why.
Let’s share in the tax revenue that cannabis has brought to the rest of the state.
The State brought in $102million during the 2019 fiscal year (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019), according to the Oregon Department of Revenue. This is a 24.2% increase over the $82.2 million collected in 2018.

The revenue that has be collected are distrusted in these amounts to the following agencies the last fiscal year. (No one paid the tax unless they wanted to.)

80.9 Million State School Fund
40.4 Million Mental Health, Alcoholism & Drug Services
30.3 Million State Police
24 Million Cities
24 Million Counties
10.1 Million Alcohol & Drug abuse prevention, intervention and treatment.
