This is a good, albeit, scary reminder from a nearby service provider of why certain items are not allowed in the garbage. Please do not place any batteries, lightbulbs, chemicals, or fireworks in garbage containers. Even inert items can combust when under the pressure of a garbage compactor.

If you have any of these items to dispose, please call the office at 541-963-5459 to arrange proper disposal. Many items can be dropped off at the Transfer Station during regular hours at no charge.

If you forgot to put containers out for regular service last week, please contact our office to schedule an off week service, arrange for extra bags to be collected on your next service, or request a dump coupon to haul trash to the Transfer Station.

Residential routes operate on all holidays except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Expect regular service on all other holidays including New Year's Day.

As you are cleaning up after Christmas morning present chaos, don't forget to separate recyclables from the trash. New rules this year have expanded accepted materials. Remember to remove all ribbons, bows, and excessive amounts of tape. Leave the plastic bag for the garbage and place all recycle material loose into curbside containers or at a recycle depot (just maybe wait until after the wind has died down). โฃ
