Safety slogans look great on the wall, on a poster, or at the entrance to your facility - but, do they really work? Can you actually say that a banner prevented someone from being injured? Statistical research over the years, first published in 1969 and most recently updated in 2014, show that employees only remember 10% of what they read, 20% of what they see, 30% of what they hear, but 80% of what they do.​ Expecting your employees to work safe because you have signs, banners or tell them to "work safe" will not result in preventing accidents, reducing costs or avoiding OSHA citations.
