We are really excited to announce that we are now scheduling appointments with our new Massage Therapist here at LifeBalance Chiropractic and Rehabilitation.

Rita Kelly-Abernathy, LMT studied at Chicago School of Massage Therapy-Cortiva. With 13 years experience and thousands of massages, she has helped many heal their bodies and regain pain free movement and living.

Rita's passion has always been helping people and has a wide knowledge of modalities which included deep tissue, myofascial and trigger point. She truly believes that "Muscles are just as important as the bodies vital organs, you have to take care of them"

Call the clinic at 708-579-7577 to schedule your massage. Appointments are needed, and available Wednesday afternoons/evenings as well as Friday and Saturday mornings.

We are excited to introduce Carissa Kelly, our new Acupuncturist here at LifeBalance Chiropractic and Rehabilitation.

Carissa is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the State of Illinois and California. Her 13 years practicing Chinese Medicine has included acupuncture, nutrition therapy, theta healing, applied kinesiology, and lifestyle medicine.

In 2003, she earned a Bachelors Degree in Nutritional Sciences from Michigan State University. Being fascinated by the inner workings of the body, mind and spirit, she went on to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and earned a Masters Degree from the prestigious American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco.

Her specialties are in treating pain, the full spectrum of women’s health including all aspects of fertility treatment, mental health and stress.

After several years of practicing medicine in the Bay Area, Carissa has returned home to her Chicago roots. We are very excited to welcome her to Life Balance where she will be able to bring additional services and options to aid in your overall wellness.
