Back in the saddle after a failed brake booster! I've been so busy it only took 6 months to repair! I'm glad it's back on the road.....just in time for cooler weather.

In a strange turn of events, my account restrictions, for the thing's a hacker did, have been lifted. I could not find a way to get any traction, but I complained under "other" when searching through settings. I did this a lot, and explained my position, and asked them to look at my past posts in comparison. I guess it made it to the right person.

In its day, the Optispark Distributor was cutting edge technology. It was a maintenance nightmare, if the schedules were not followed to the letter. Testing and diagnosis is simple. Replacement is a job you will not want to do twice, or at all. This is why they get a bad review. No one takes the time to do the job right. However, if the recommended maintenance schedules are followed, as well as the correct order of steps involved, it will give more than adequate service. The only drawback is the lack of replacement units, and the quality of the available units. I am told Opti-spark Solutions on ebay will rebuild factory units, but that is all I know about them. Petris Enterprises, Inc. sells new quality units, with warranty. This is where I would look for a replacement. They sell a complete kit to address everything you WILL need to do the job correctly, except the FSM. I would highly recommend getting the correct one for your Corvette or Camaro.

It has begun! This 92 was in super poor condition when it came to me. I got it running, and changed the fluids, but nothing beyond that. I pulled the rest of the nasty interior, and the cobbled stereo wiring. When I removed the carpet, I found it had been reglued, and was hiding broken plastic here and there. I have a roll cage from Autopower to put in anyway. The lower interior had to come out anyway. I have new carpet for after the install of the cage. I have a T56 I'm going to put in it, or a TKX 5 speed. Then it will replace the #17 88 as the autocross chassis. Should make for a good winter project.

UPS was a little heavy handed with the Dewitt's fan I ordered for the 89 C4. Dewitt's was quick to get another one to me.

The Autopower roll cage kit came in for the Autocross C4. Now I just need some time to put it in! This is the 88 I'm currently running, but the cage is going in a red 92....

I was given the opportunity to clear up some carburetor issues on this 40,000 mile 63 4 speed. One float was full of fuel, and it had a small piece of wire in the right float bowl. To say I fell in love with her is an understatement!
