We had an amazing time celebrating National Assisted Living Week with a special visit from the Kona Ice Truck! 🌈🍧 Residents and staff cooled off with their favorite shaved ice flavors, creating sweet moments and lots of smiles. 😄 It was the perfect way to beat the heat and come together for some fun in the sun! ☀️ A big thank you to Kona Ice for making this event such a hit! 🙌🎉

Our Belmont Village senior living communities came together with big hearts and busy hands to stuff backpacks for our various back-to-school drives, just in time for the new school year. Seeing the joy and care our residents put into preparing these backpacks was truly inspiring. Thanks to their dedication, many students will start the year equipped and ready to learn. From rocking our Great Place to Work t-shirts to enjoying delicious street tacos, the day was filled with fun and laughter. 🌟 Highlights included a lively watermelon eating contest and a variety of lawn games that brought out everyone's competitive spirit. Happy National Couples Day! 💕 Today, we’re celebrating the 230+ couples who call Belmont Village home.

Meet one of our couples, Jan and Otto, whose love story began at Belmont Village. What started as a friendship soon blossomed into something more. 💍 The two tied the knot at Belmont Village Senior Living Lakeway in 2022. 🏡🥂🤵👰 We caught up with Jan and Otto, now going into their third year of marriage, to see what they had to say.

Congratulations, Lincoln Common, on winning Urban Land Institute's 2024 Americas Award for Excellence! 🏆🌟 We’re incredibly proud to have our Belmont Village Senior Living Lincoln Park community be part of this vibrant, walkable community that continues to evolve and thrive. The master plan of Lincoln Commons is comprised a mix of new and old buildings to refresh the area but keep the Lincoln Park charm. Our Lincoln Park community was designed to resemble the historic Nellie Black building that previously resided on the site. A vision that came to life thanks to architects at Antunovich Associates and construction team at W.E. O'Neil Construction.

Our seniors have been going for gold as Belmont Village communities across the nation hosted their own Olympic games the past couple of weeks. 🏅🔥 From break dancing and volleyball to basketball and dressage (Olympic Equestrian) - we have witnessed incredible camaraderie and sportsmanship by our residents and staff. Kudos to our team members for making the games come to life inside our community and creating an UNFORGETTABLE experience for our residents! ❤️🎉

VIVA LA JOLLA! 🎉 We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary with a fabulous casino-themed party! 🃏🎲 Residents and families enjoyed an afternoon of Roulette, Craps, and table games, all with fantastic entertainment. Our servers rocked gold bow ties while serving up delicious hors d'oeuvres and casino-inspired cocktails. 🍹🍴 A special shoutout to for their fantastic games and table hosts who engaged with our guests. 🎩✨ Prizes were awarded to the top four chip leaders! 🏆

We’ll learn how to recognize and avoid common scams that are targeted at seniors and their families. These scams have become more convincing and sophisticated than ever. We’ll review phishing scams that attempt to steal your personal information, fake tech support scams, and grandparent scams— callers posting as a grandchild. Illinois residents will also learn how to file a complaint regarding scams with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.

Sonya works to foster communication and collaboration between the government and the community. Previously, she held a leadership role with the Cook County Treasurer’s office, spearheading initiatives such as Black Houses Matter. In 1974, he set an AMA record in the M-AF class at an astonishing 199.5 mph—a record that still stands today! 🏆🔥

June 2024 Employee Spotlight 🌟

This month, we are thrilled to spotlight Allyson Fujii, who is the Memory Program Coordinator at our Belmont Village Senior Living San Jose community! Allyson has been an integral part of our team since February 2013, when she started as an Activity Assistant. Through her passion and commitment, we have seen her rise through the ranks, becoming the Activity Program Coordinator in March 2016 and then the Memory Program Coordinator in March 2019, a role in which she has excelled for over five years. In October 2022, Allyson successfully started training and mentoring other staff as a Memory Program Coordinator-IT Preceptor for our Management In-Training Programs. Due to her unwavering dedication and passion, she has been nominated by leadership and staff to be selected as a finalist for the 2024 California Assisted Living Association (CALA) Excellence in Service Award for Department Director.

Today marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day when nearly 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight on the beaches of Normandy, France. We're grateful for those soldiers who fought on that day including Veteran and Belmont Village Senior Living Albany resident, David. 🙏 We salute your incredible courage so that we could have the liberties we cherish today. ❤️
