How do we respond to life?

✨ Your beliefs shape your biology.

When you believe your body is broken, it listens—and responds in kind.
When you trust that your body knows how to heal, it will rise to prove you right. 🌿

Your cells, your nervous system, your mind—they’re all eavesdropping on your thoughts. This is why mindset and self-talk aren’t “woo.” They’re biology.

So the next time you catch yourself doubting your body, pause. Choose trust. Choose possibility. Choose to believe in your innate ability to heal. 💛

Because your body is always working for you—not against you.

Your screen is hijacking your nervous system – but there’s a simple antidote.

When you stare at screens for hours, your ciliary muscles lock into constant near-focus mode, your blink rate decreases, and your tear film becomes unstable. This creates a cascade of muscle tension that travels from your eyes to your neck, shoulders, and beyond.

The 20-20-20 rule works because it forces your focusing muscles to relax and reset. Looking at distant objects shifts your eyes from accommodative stress to a more natural, relaxed state – the same position they’d be in if you were looking at a horizon.

Your visual system evolved to scan landscapes, not pixels. Every 20 minutes, give your eyes what they’re designed for: distance, movement, and a moment to breathe.

Your entire nervous system will benefit from the micro-break.

Strawberry Coconut Water Adrenal Cocktail (6 Servings)

This refreshing drink aims to provide key nutrients that support overall well-being and electrolyte balance.

Yields: 6 servings Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
🍓3 cups (approx. 1.5 lbs) fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled

🥥6 cups (approx. 48 fl oz) coconut water (unsweetened)

🍋1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (or lime juice)

🧂1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt (such as Himalayan pink salt or Redmond's Real Salt)

Optional: 6 teaspoons (or to taste) raw honey or maple syrup for sweetness
Ice (optional)

Instructions:

Combine the strawberries, coconut water, lemon juice, sea salt, and optional sweetener in a large blender.

You may need to do this in two batches depending on the size of your blender.

Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined.

For a smoother drink, you can strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any seeds or pulp, if desired.
Pour the mixture into 6 individual glasses over ice, or into a large pitcher to serve.

Imagine the inner lining of your blood vessels as a dynamic control panel.

When needed, these cells release nitric oxide, which, being a gas, rapidly diffuses. It quickly reaches the smooth muscle cells surrounding your blood vessels, signaling them to relax.

This relaxation causes the vessel to widen, allowing more blood to flow through.During workouts, this nitric oxide driven widening means more oxygen and nutrients reach your working muscles, helping you perform and recover.

When you're under stress, nitric oxide 🧪 helps to counteract vessel constriction, promoting more consistent blood flow throughout your system, including to your brain.

Support your body's nitric oxide 🧪 production with nitrate-rich foods like leafy greens and beets, and through regular physical activity.

Comment "BEET" and I'll DM you how to test and support your nitric oxide 🧪

Veggie of the Week!! Celery takes main stage because...

Celery's cellular health benefits are rooted in its abundant antioxidants and phytonutrients.

These compounds are crucial for protecting and optimizing cellular function.

A primary benefit is the combat against oxidative stress. Celery is rich in antioxidants like flavonoids (apigenin, luteolin), vitamin C, and beta-carotene. Oxidative stress, caused by an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants, can damage cellular DNA, proteins, and lipids.

Celery's antioxidants neutralize these free radicals, preventing cellular harm that contributes to chronic diseases and aging.
Furthermore, celery's anti-inflammatory properties are vital at the cellular level. Chronic inflammation is a major factor in many diseases.

Celery's compounds suppress pro-inflammatory mediators, protecting cells from inflammation-induced damage.

Celery also supports various cellular processes. Folate (Vitamin B9) is essential for DNA synthesis and repair, critical for proper cell division and maintaining genomic integrity.

Vitamin K contributes to bone cell health by supporting osteoblast function.

Some phytochemicals, like apigenin, may influence cellular signaling pathways, impacting cell growth and differentiation, and potentially inducing programmed cell death in abnormal cells.

Finally, the antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents, especially luteolin and apigenin, offer neuroprotection.

They can reduce brain inflammation, potentially enhancing cognitive function and supporting the growth of new nerve cells.

Celery boosts cellular health by powerfully combating oxidative stress and inflammation, while supporting fundamental cellular processes and offering neuroprotective benefits.

Drop a “Yes” below in the comments if you want me to send you a recent episode of my podcast The Art of Being Well podcast where I talk about PFAS in depth and what protocols look like for telehealth patients to detox from environmental toxins like PFAS, and simple things you can do right now on your own to make your life a cleanse .

PFAS, known as “forever chemicals” due to their persistence in the environment, have been linked to numerous health issues. Here’s what the science says:

- Cancer: Research suggests an increased risk of cancers like kidney and testicular cancer.

- Reproductive Health: PFAS exposure is associated with decreased fertility, increased high blood pressure in pregnant women, and developmental issues in infants

- Thyroid and Liver: Studies indicate potential for thyroid disease and liver damage.

- Immune System: There’s evidence linking PFAS to reduced immune response.

- Metabolic Effects: Increased cholesterol levels, obesity, and type II diabetes have been connected to PFAS exposure.

- Developmental Effects: Exposure during critical developmental stages can lead to delays in children.
