Most people don’t realize that common symptoms of varicose veins and venous reflux disease include nighttime leg cramps and restless legs.

In fact, up to 30% of people with varicose veins experience these symptoms—especially at night when circulation slows down.

You Don’t Have to “Need” Compression to Benefit From It

Most people think compression stockings are only for when something’s wrong…
But supporting your veins early can make a huge difference.

For Long Days on Your Feet

Standing all day (workouts, jobs, travel) puts pressure on your veins.
Compression helps keep blood moving so your legs feel lighter, not exhausted.

For Busy, Active Lifestyles

Whether you’re working, running around, or traveling—
compression reduces swelling and that heavy, achy feeling at the end of the day.

For Prevention (Yes, Even in Your 20s & 30s)

Tiny spider veins and early vein changes don’t happen overnight.
Compression helps support circulation before those changes become visible.

For Travel

Flights, long drives, sitting for hours—
compression helps prevent swelling and keeps your circulation flowing.

Patients come in saying the same thing:
“My veins suddenly look worse.”
“My legs feel heavier, more achy, more noticeable.”

And it’s not random.

Spring break often means more time on your feet, long travel days, heat, and changes in routine — all of which can make vein symptoms flare.

We also hear:
• More discomfort after standing for long periods
• Increased swelling or heaviness
• Bulging veins becoming more visible
• Even discomfort with pressure around the knees

Then the realization hits:
“I don’t want to deal with this all summer.”

That’s why this is one of the busiest times of year for vein treatments.

If your legs felt different after spring break, your body is trying to tell you something — and it’s worth getting it checked.

Follow us for expert tips to keep your legs comfortable, healthy, and confident this season.

We hear it all the time:
Long hours standing, cooking, traveling, sitting through services, or kneeling in church can make bulging veins more painful and more noticeable.

Many patients also tell us it’s become uncomfortable to kneel because of prominent veins around the knees.

And this time of year matters —
As the weather warms up, symptoms like aching, heaviness, and swelling tend to flare.

That’s usually the moment it clicks:
“I should’ve taken care of this sooner.”

Which is why so many patients come in now — to treat it before summer.
Follow us for simple tips to help your legs feel lighter, healthier, and look better this season.

Everyone knows… win over the manager 😂

Your inner ankle can reveal signs of vein disease—long before it becomes obvious.

Here are three subtle changes I look for:

• Persistent itching or eczema in the inner ankle ‘venous eczema’
Often dismissed as dry skin, but it can actually be a sign of underlying vein pressure affecting the skin —> chronic inflammation.

• Skin discoloration (darker, or brown tones)
This isn’t just pigmentation—it’s often caused by blood pooling beneath the surface also causing chronic inflammation.

• Clusters of fine spider veins
Especially when they appear suddenly or begin to spread, this can indicate saphenous vein reflux.

Venous reflux aka venous insufficiency can be detected with ultrasound in combination with exam and history confirms the diagnosis.

Catching them early means simpler, more effective treatment ✨
