Arkansas Valley Hospice focuses on caring not curing and in most cases, care is provided in the patientโs home. Arkansas Valley Hospice also provides care in nursing homes, assisted living, and other long-term care facilities. Patients are eligible after being certified by a physician as having a life expectancy of 6 months or less, depending on the course of the disease and no longer seeking treatment. Hospice care is covered under Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans. Hospice patients and their families will not be billed for any services not covered by insurance.
Arkansas Valley Hospice is the only local non-profit Hospice providing care in the Arkansas Valley. All donations stay in the Arkansas Valley. There is no cost to patients.
