Dear Diary,

Last week I was having some coffee with my dad and grandma. Let me preface this with saying, I've always questioned how much of my 'hippy' opinions I shared with both of them being devout 'republicans'

Well dad started off a conversation about how his insurance company was running a food drive ( the same one I brought stuff and got a free pizza from). He was able to take those can goods +$500 dollars worth of food to two local food banks. 💰 💶

What made me slightly surprised was how he made sure to spend that money at the local grocery store in the next town over! He wanted to make sure he was spending that money where it would stay in the valley 🌄

I praised him and was thankful for that thought. Comes to find out, he has been listening! And regardless of what label you identify with, there's people out there who love you for you. I love my dad 💙

Yay for school to be winding down! Yet, here are more projects coming along the way😁 I have been so lucky to be able to start working with the International Students at Otero College!

Not only do I get to share the culture and knowledge of our community, but it gives a great opportunity for locals to explore other cultures as well. So here it is...

We are inviting families, entrepreneurs, sportsters and fellow creatives to consider participating in the Friendly Family Program. This will give the opportunity to meet people from all over the world who have travelled to the Arkansas Valley! 🌏

✨️ Things that keep me busy ✨️

In the current climate it's so easy to get overwhelmed with the safety and security of yourself and loved ones. Which is why it's SOOOOOO important to remember the little good things that I can control 🕊

Making my own laundry soap, volunteering with , seed starting with my ladies and sharing the love of crafts with kiddos ❤️

We are all stronger together 🫂

Dear Diary,

Why is it late at night as I'm drifting into slumber ideas start hitting me?...
With how everything is coming about, I want more than ever to have a community that I can share in joy and sorrows. And community is a lot harder when you're standards are set to those who have the same interest, rather than geographically located.

I wonder who else would agree. To have a crafting group or foodie group that meets monthly. Maybe a gardening or healthy living group that meets weekly.

Yet life is wild and unpredictable, and although its a stretch, I believe there are others who would feel the same. It seems the world is trying to tear us apart, and I'm just wanting to hold on tighter. It will all be okay, we just need to hold onto those that we love, and they hold onto those they love, and with a spider web of love, we will be alright...

Dinner tonight included a seared porkchop with a caramelized apple onion chutney, and a southwest styled cabbage salad 😋

Why am I sharing this?

'Cause last night dinner was an apple with peanut butter and three pickled okras...
