The picture to the left - 2015, I was 27 years old. I am pictured here holding CJ’s ashes, my firstborn child. I was hopeless, depressed, and very broken. The world I’ve built for myself 200 miles away from my hometown was apart of my past. I walked away from it all. I didn’t have CJ and nothing else mattered. I was triggered to walk down the aisles at stores because I didn’t want to go near the baby section. I was falling apart. Through faith in God, therapy, and time alone, my healing journey began. In those still moments, God spoke to me. He called me to start The Baby Stewart Foundation. My mentor Barry Silverberg helped me start our 501(c)3. He believed in me when the world was not as kind, loving, and empathetic.

Fast forward, 10 years later - Now, here we are in 2025. I am 37 years old. The Baby Stewart Foundation has an NAACP Award, received 3 proclamations from The City of La Marque, has helped families all over TX, OK, LA, MS, AL, FL, TN, MI, CA and countries outside of the USA, and featured in articles such as Pregnancy Help News, Voyage Houston, Point of Light, Shoutout HTX, and Nonprofit Austin. We have gone out to the homes, jobs, schools, parking lots to help people and ensure they have access to adequate supplies.

There is hope. I’ve turned my pain into purpose. I know how it feels to rebuild your life after losing everything. I know it feels to have your heart ripped out of you after the loss of a child. I know who I am and what I stand for. I just want to simply serve my community and the people who feel unseen and unheard.

This milestone is very important to me, our 10th anniversary. It would mean the world to me to have everyone who’s supported our mission and watched our journey to join us in celebration. And I thank Him!

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to recognize the grief and impact experienced by parents who lost an infant to stillbirth, miscarriage, and other causes. The Baby Stewart Foundation stands in the forefront for Pregnancy and Infant Loss and we hold space for families who have experienced loss. May we honor all the infants gone too soon and who have left footprints on our hearts. 1 in 4 is NOT just a statistic, it’s ME!

On October 1, 2015, The Baby Stewart Foundation became a 501(c)3, registered in La Marque, TX!

October 4th, The Baby Stewart Foundation and Come & See Friends Church will host a Fall Community Resource Fair @9 AM - 1 PM. 1701 6TH STREET N TEXAS CITY, TX 77590. We will have FREE food, community resources and services from our vendors, health screenings, flu vaccines for the insured, free haircuts, mobile showers, giveaways, and much more.

October 4th, The Baby Stewart Foundation will also be a vendor at City of La Marque Unified Town Hall Meeting @11 AM - 12:30 PM 750 Saltgrass Point Rd La Marque, TX 77568. We will have resources and giveaways!

We will be honoring Mayor Keith Bell, Councilwoman Tonia Griffin, Sue Johnson, Chenica Grant, Bridgette Simmons, The Anna Linzie Show, Diamond Yacht Rentals, God’s Kingdom & Restoration Ministries, and Walmart #529!! Our influential, eloquent Keynote Speaker, Ian Haddock! Pastor Jeremiah Narcisse will bless and empower us! We have our powerhouse Emcee’s Koretta Brown and Keith Henry!
