Personality-wise, Tracie Garacochea says she's no "grandma' who sits around and knits. No, Tracie, a 65-year-old with multiple sclerosis, performs impressive stunts at the skatepark in her wheelchair. All this, despite taking what she calls "a little tumble."

Tracie was attempting an otherwise routine run at the skatepark, when she lost control and face-planted onto the concrete. She broke her left elbow and wrist. She also had a separated shoulder and some "gnarly" scrapes on her face, as a friend described it.

Tracie began physical therapy with the spirit and determination of an elite athlete. She worked on progressive strengthening, stretching exercises to improve range of motion and received manual therapy to break up scar tissue. Only two months after the accident, she was back at the skatepark performing the trick that originally injured her. In fact, she says she feels even stronger than before.

How does 48-year old pickleball pro Matt Wright make it all look so easy? Fundamentals, baby! Check out this article about how Matt has perfected in-game strategy adjustments and getting to the kitchen line more than his opponents to remain fiercely competitive in a sport that is getting younger and younger.

We are proud to be the official physical therapy partner of the PPA Tour and pro sponsor of Mr. Fundamental!

Matt Wright showed us all at the PPA Tour Bristol Open that it's still possible to go pretty far playing simple, fundamental pickleball -- even against the best players in the world.
