My heart has been incredibly heavy all day after hearing about the passing of Stephen “tWitch” Boss. I have been a fan of his for so many years. The energy he would exude made me smile, even on the most difficult of days. And watching the way he and his wife Allison would dance in sync always had a way of lifting my spirits.

The reality of life is that no one knows what people are going through. The way people present may not represent the pain they are feeling inside.

Sadly, the light tWitch spread to others didn’t necessarily mirror the light he felt within.

Su***de comes from deep despair and pain. And if you haven’t been in the depths to understand how that might feel, think twice before you judge or assume what it felt like for him. Or for anyone else. If your inclination is to judge, stop. Take time to educate yourself and understand.

Happy to announce that I am now a contracted therapist with Kaiser, which means I can see these members independently through my private practice. As a former Kaiser employee, I am so grateful to be able to offer therapeutic support a little more timely to those brave enough to reach out!
