This month, in honor of Diabetes Awareness Month, we're recognizing our partners, Mama's Kitchen, who received support from the District for their medically-tailored meal service in East County. With diabetes, healthy eating is important for keeping blood sugar levels in a safe range. Mama's Kitchen provides free home deliveries of nutritious meals to people affected by type 2 diabetes and other medical conditions who are mentally or physically unable to prepare meals as a result of their diagnosis. This month is National Caregivers Month. Consider calling our partners at Alzheimer's San Diego if you or someone you know is caring for someone living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Caregiving can be a stressful role, so a reminder to all caregivers this upcoming holiday season, to take breaks and seek outside support for your mental well-being if needed.

November is Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month, as well as National Caregivers Month, and our organization makes it a point to show up for those in need day in and day out. For everyone who attended Walk4ALZ recently, you know how many lives this disease touches - from those living with dementia, to their caregivers, families, and their entire support systems.

Increasing awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias remains a priority, with programs and reach expanding into more areas in the county. Services have always been free of charge, and we're grateful to all donors and partners who contribute and make this possible! It's that time of year again, and CRUST us you're going to want to get in on this! 🍴

Mama’s Pies is a Thanksgiving Bake Sale that benefits Mama’s Kitchen – San Diego’s largest provider of home-delivered meals for individuals & families affected by critical illness.

Our pies are baked and donated with love by local bakeries, restaurants, and caterers, and will be ready for pickup on Wednesday, November 26, at one of our public drive-through pickup locations.

Each pie sold provides 12 meals to a critically ill San Diegan. Last year, we provided over 50,000 meals to homebound individuals vulnerable to malnutrition across all of San Diego County ❤️
