What to do when you need mental health help:
1. Talk to someone you trust about what you're going through. Healing is hard to manage alone, and your loved ones can only support you if they know what's going on.
2. Try calling a warmline. A warmline is a phone number you can call to have a conversation with a trained peer who can provide support in hard times.
3. Start by reaching out to your primary care doctor. They can ask you questions to assess what you're going through and refer you to specialized mental health professionals.
4. Consider connecting with a therapist. Therapy will give you a chance to sort through your feelings without fear of judgement. Therapy can also provide you with valuable coping skills.
