We have big news!! 📣📢

We would like to introduce everyone to our newest team memeber. Dr.Hintze!!!

Dr. Hintze grew up in the Southern Maryland area. She received her BS in biology (minor in equine studies) from Bridgewater College in 2021. Afterwards she attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Iowa state. Dr. Hintze loves the variety and faster pace of emergency/urgent care medicine. In her time outside of work she enjoys baking, horseback riding, and spending time with her cat “Beethoven”.

While we are in this transition period of Dr.Hintze training we appreciate your continued support and patience with wait times.

Next week we will have different hours to accommodate changes in the doctor schedule.

We will not have any internal medicine consulta available next week.

Monday the 9th
11am-11pm
Tuesday the 10th-Sunday the 15th
11am-8pm

We will have internal medicine appointments again starting the 15th and our hours will return back to 8am-6pm Monday-Tuesday.

White oak got a fresh catch of cat fish this morning. 🐱🐟🎣🪝

Thunder cat got into some trouble playing where she shouldn’t and got caught (literally). After some sedation we were able to remove the hook and she should heal up just fine.

Pierce came in for lethargy, vomiting, with the possibility that he ate something he shouldn’t have. We did an ultrasound and found he had an obstruction. We did abdominal surgery on him and got the foreign object out. He came back the next day after surgery to hang out with us for continued fluid therapy. While hanging out with us he started eating and had a bit more pep in his step on walks and is doing so well.

Pierce was kind enough to model our newest props for us. This is 24 hours after his abdominal surgery we are so happy with how well he is recovering!

Today is world spay day. This global initiative was launched in 1995 to help promote spay and neuter to limit overpopulation of pets. To this day there is still such an overpopulation of pets that many are being euthanized in shelters due to lack of space and low adoption rates.

Please be a responsible owner and get your pet spayed or neutered!
