We love connecting with our community! 🦷 Last Friday our team spent the day visiting students at Union High School and La Porte City Elementary to talk about dental health and careers in dentistry.

We started the day at the elementary school visiting grades K–3, where we talked about dental health, good brushing habits, and how to keep their smiles healthy. The students were so fun and full of great questions! Pictured below are Taylor and Katy leading our toothbrushing and flossing activity, where we use the kids as “teeth” and brush and floss them to show how it’s done.

We also visited the High School Health 2 and Careers classes to talk with students about different careers in the dental field and share tips and our personal experiences entering dentistry.

A huge thank you to the Health 2 class for the thoughtful gift basket in honor of Dental Assistants Week and Dentist Day — it meant so much to all of us!

Dr. Shannon, Taylor, Nicole, Katy, Lainey, and baby Dallas had such a great time connecting with students and hopefully inspired some future dental professionals along the way. 😊🪥
