Compliance meets Curb Appeal

You can't get much safer than passive protection, but there are occasions where a professional look is preferred and bright yellow rails may not look the part.

Safety Rail Co. has you covered with the Accu-Fit Mobile Rail System. With 2 curved or straight rail designs and optional building facade color matching you can ensure your building's roof is safe while maintaining sight-lines and looks.

Just like the SRC360 Mobile Rail System Accu-Fit provides a secure, non-penetrating safety rail with interconnected rails and cast-iron bases, offering a solid ballasted barrier that can be moved as needed to accommodate nearly any roof while still providing safety and compliance.

For yet another option for mounting, Safety Rail offers a variety of metal roof mounts, allowing rooftop safety that can simply be riveted or clamped-on, requiring no welding, perfect for a variety of industrial structures.

It's much harder to fall off a ledge you can't easily reach.

In the Hierarchy of Controls, the next best thing to eliminating a hazard is keeping your workers away from it. While many forms of work may require working near an edge and thus require fall arrest or restraint gear such as harnesses, lanyards, and SRLs, the best solution for rooftops is the same as any structure: railings.

Safety Rail Co. does exactly what it says on the tin: make solidly built, heavy-duty rail systems to provide 24/7 protection and compliance for all rooftop workers.

The Safety Rail SRC360 Mobile Rail System provides a secure, non-penetrating safety rail thanks to its modular interconnected rails and cast-iron bases, offering a solid ballasted barrier that can be moved as needed to accommodate nearly any roof while still providing safety and compliance.

If sightlines or looks are important for your building, there's also the SRC360 Hide-A-Rail system, offering the same safety technology while allowing you to fold down the rails when workers are not present.

This week we celebrate the birth of a nation. 249 years ago 56 men signed the Declaration of Independence, risking their fortunes, lives and legacies to create a nation that would strive to make liberty and justice available to all. They would be joined by countless thousands in pursuit of this dream.

We at goSafe are proud to serve the hard working men and women of this great nation who make modern life possible through the roads, pipes, refineries, plants, fields, and worksites that supply our needs. All of this is a testament to our freedom to pursue life and joy with honor and integrity.

goSafe will be closed Friday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day.

Have a safe and happy July 4th weekend!

Today is National Hydration Day to raise awareness for the critical role of hydration in everyday wellness, especially at work.

High temperatures and demanding physical labor make workers much more vulnerable to heat stress and dehydration, which can easily lead to loss of motor function, accidents, and heat illness.

Your workers need the right tools to get hydrated and stay hydrated:
• Set aside time for mandatory breaks in shaded areas for workers to rest and rehydrated
• Make sure electrolyte replenishing drinks are readily available
• Train your team to know the signs of dehydration (fatigue, headache, dizziness)
• Use Hydration testing to ensure that your workers stay hydrated

One key factor is knowing who is and isn't hydrating. The MX3 hydration testing system bridges that gap by allowing fast, portable, and cost-effective hydration testing anytime and anywhere using an instant saliva test.

Once tested, all data is stored on the device or automatically transferred through your smartphone into the MX3 web app to see hydration data for unlimited workers and locations across your organization, enabling you to spot gaps in your hydration program and address hazards proactively.

Industrial work is hard on it's own without outside stressors and struggles.

It's the final week of National Safety Month, and we're bringing it home with a focus on worker well-being. A safe workplace isn't just about preventing accidents; it's also about fostering an environment where everyone feels supported, healthy, and able to thrive. It's time to make safety more than skin-deep.

Here are some ways to encourage worker wellness:
1. Encourage open communication between employees and employer.
2. Support mental health by promoting resources and reducing stigma.
3. Provide opportunities for team-building, rest, and recreation.
4. Prioritize work-life balance—rest and recharge are crucial!
5. Provide resources or gym incentives to encourage physical & mental wellness.
6. Practice ergonomic safety to prevent strain and injury.
7. Celebrate successes and acknowledge hard work.

Let's finish National Safety Month strong by prioritizing the holistic well-being of every person on our team, all to help people goSafe, so they can go home.

The math is simple:

Work + Heat = Dehydration
Dehydration + More Work = Heat Illness
and Heat Illness + Your Workforce = Disaster

Don't let your workers risk being buried alive.

Trench collapses are among the most dangerous hazards in the construction industry. A cubic yard of soil can weigh as much as a car, making a cave-in a potentially fatal event. These incidents are preventable with the proper use of protective systems and adherence to safety protocols.

This week is the Trench Safety Stand Down, and we encourage any workforce involved in digging, construction, excavation, mining, or other trench-involved work to stop and take the time for training, encouragement, and improving awareness of the dangers of trench work.

• Hold a Toolbox Talk: Take time to discuss trench safety with your crew. Review procedures for sloping, shoring, and shielding.
• Inspect Your Equipment: Ensure all trench boxes and other protective equipment are in good working order.
• Review Your Safety Plan: Re-evaluate your site-specific safety plans for all excavation projects.
• Let's work together to ensure every worker goes home safe at the end of the day.

Safe driving is always important, but special caution is needed in workzones.

In 2023, 898 people were killed by car crashes in workzones in the US, with a staggering 40,170 injuries. 78% of these deaths were drivers and passengers, all according to BLS Data.

Simply put, driving awareness, patience, and a cool head is absolutely key in preventing injury and death on the road and the workzone.

Driver Safety:
• Take your time. Better safe than speedy.
• Avoid weaving through lanes, especially in workzones.
• Pay attention to pedestrians and workers.
• Stay alert of surrounding vehicles.
• ALWAYS SIGNAL before turning or changing lanes.
• DON'T TEXT OR USE YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING. Nothing could be more important than driving safely behind the wheel. It can wait.

Worker Safety:
• Stay alert of traffic conditions and nearby vehicles
• Use proper traffic control devices such as cones and signage to alert drivers.
• Wear Hi-Vis vests and other PPE to stay easy to spot.
• Use worksite lighting and headlamps at night to ensure worksite and task visibility.

A more recent innovation is the Illumagear Halo: A 360 degree headlamp that lights up the entire area around a worker. Not only does this light the worker's peripheral vision, but it ensures clear visibility of a worker's position and surroundings, no matter which way they're facing.

There are few jobs more important than being a Father.

From the construction site to the factory floor, hard working fathers put in the hours to provide for their families; not just materially, but also with time, love, and care. This Father's Day, we want to acknowledge the incredible commitment of these men to both their jobs and their families.

Choosing to wear your PPE, following safety protocols, and looking out for your team is much more than compliance. It's all to provide every working father the greatest gift of all: coming home safely to their families.

Thank you for building a legacy of safety, and a safe and happy Father's Day to all the dads in our industry and beyond!
