The decompression table we chose to have in our office is called the SpineMED. We are the only office in the Coachella Valley to have this amazing table. It is without a doubt the most advanced spinal decompression table on the market today. Most of the competing tables use cumbersome and uncomfortable ropes, pulleys and harnesses and require using 40% more force to achieve the same results as the SpineMED table. This machine helps with strength, coordination and balance and is extremely fun to use. The SpineForce has been used to train NFL football players and Olympic athletes. This is a computerized diagnostic machine that tests 5 areas of your neurological health.
1. Surface EMG – tests the electrical activity of your spinal muscles to determine if they are balanced.
2. Thermal Scan – tests the thermal activity of your spine to determine autonomic nervous system function.
3. Inclinometer – tests the range of motion of your neck, mid back and lower back to determine any abnormalities.
4. Algometry – tests the pain sensitivity of spinal areas to determine abnormalities.
5. Pulse Wave Profiler – tests your heart rate variability, which is a measure of your overall fitness. All 5 of these test results are put together in a score from 1 to 100, with 100 being the best. The score is called your Neuro Spinal Functional Index Score or NSFI. This is a completely painless test and takes about 20 minutes to have done. Once you get your NSFI score, we start treating you and re-test you every 30 days to increase your NSFI as much as possible. The Insight Discovery machine is endorsed by Olympic Gold Medalist, Dan O’Brian and the Space Foundation and is used in the training rooms of many professional sports teams.
