NOTICE: It has come to our attention that political posts keep showing up on the page "posted" by the page. In checking with all who have access to do so, none of us are doing it. We want all to feel welcome and patriotic here. I have learned from another person with pages and groups that they are having AI generated posts showing up on their page. I can't seem to locate anything to turn that feature on or off. It is either AI making these posts, or the page has been hacked. As of now, I can't confirm. For those who may be offended by these posts, we are sorry. Either way, if you see such posts, please call it to our attention. We will remove them. Thanks for your patience.

There is a group in La Verne that has been working on enhancing the Veteran's Memorial at the La Verne VFW by adding full size statues of three military members... a male, a female and one in a wheelchair. They are on the final stretch, and hoping to make this happen in time for Memorial Day. To achieve their goal, they can use your help. Take a look at the attachments for the details.....we appreciate any help you are willing to offer...and please share this with others.

First La Verne Residents... Cal Trans is proposing reducing Foothill in La Verne from 3 lanes each way to two lanes each way... to accommodate bicycles. Through the end of the month they are accepting public comment. We have bike lanes on Bonita and Baseline already. We don't need to destroy traffic flow through the Foothill corridor for rarely used bicycle lanes...

Last night, Caltrans hosted a community meeting to discuss proposed improvements to Foothill Blvd. These include:

-Street paving
-ADA curb and sidewalk upgrades
-Bus stop enhancements
-Development of dedicated bike lanes

Those in attendance supported a proposal to reduce the number of lanes from three to two to allow for the addition of bike facilities.

Caltrans is still accepting community feedback through Saturday, November 30. Visit www.cityoflaverne.org/foothill to complete the survey. The survey findings will play a key role in shaping the project’s design and planning process.

While this project will take several years to complete, Caltrans will continue to engage the community throughout its development. Thank you for participating in this important process.

As we continue discussions with The City's "Friends of the 4th of July" committee, they are proposing that each individual motorcycle be treated just like an individual float in The City's parade. There are several requirements put on each parade entry. I have added several poll questions inquiring how you feel, as motorcycle parade participants, about any such potential changes... such that we may share results with the committee in subsequent meetings. So please respond to these questions...
