Ok, well it's been a minute since I posted anything... but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.

I'm happy to let you know that I'll be bringing in a new line called Good Medicine that I'm excited for you to try (and I'm excited to try it as well, just getting to know it myself). I am so happy that hairstylists have been given a green light to reopen (safely and INSIDE) for LA county.

Estheticians sadly have not been given the go ahead. While I personally feel that I can operate safely inside, it is not up to me.

I do hope to be able reopen soon but there is no real timeline.

Skingredient spotlight: Retinol

What is it? A topical form of Vitamin A

Who is it good for? Those concerned about fine lines and wrinks😘.

How to include it in your skin care: Start by adding it to your evening routine 2-3 nights a week (you can increase the frequency of use as your skin adjusts, you may feel some tingles at first). When adding a retinol to your skin care practice you should be including an SPF during the day (actually you should be using it daily anyway!).

Skin Care with Tamara is still temporarily closed but I just wanted to take a moment to check in with you. There is a lot of confusion right now regarding what services are allowed and the changes the government is asking of the beauty/spa/salon industry.
⠀
We (as an industry) were allowed to reopen for a short period. Due to an increase in cases we were forced to shut down again (please note that this was a general rise in the number of Covid cases, not a result of spas and salons reopening). We were then offered the option of performing our services outdoors if we could meet additional requirements. If you have been to my shop you know that setting up a semi open tent on the sidewalk outside would not be an ideal place to offer skin care services. While there are some personal service providers that are making it work, I'm not comfortable with pursuing the outdoor option at this time because I don't feel that it is safe or sanitary (and definitely not calming).

At the time of writing this I have no word on any plan the California government has on when I may be allowed to reopen again. Please know that your health and safety are always a priority to me and always have been. I will reopen when the state and county deem it safe.

I use a couple of Leahlani Skincare products in the treatment room (it’s been a while, I know) but I also use their products at home and this is a really good deal. This isn’t an ad, I just wanted to share with you!
