The national recommendation is 250 students to one counselor. In California, this is not often reality. Due to the continued advocacy of CASC staff, board members, and association members, California has improved our ratio from 572:1 in 20-21 to 432:1 in 24-25. That’s a 140 student difference!

We still have so much work to do, but know that membership dues support this advancement and advocacy in the spaces that make policy decisions.
