“Behind impulsivity and rule-breaking is often a history of pain, survival, and unmet needs.”

Antisocial Personality Disorder affects ~1–3% of adults and involves a persistent pattern of disregard for others’ rights.

Common signs include:
• Impulsivity / risk taking
• Deception or manipulation
• Lack of remorse
• Aggression or rule violation

Real life example: Someone repeatedly engages in reckless behavior, struggles with accountability, and prioritizes immediate reward over long-term consequences.

Gold-standard treatment: Structured therapy focused on accountability, impulse control, emotional regulation, and behavior change. Early intervention improves outcomes.

Change is possible, even when patterns feel ingrained.

If you or someone you love struggles with impulsivity, anger, or destructive cycles, Artemis Wellness offers judgment-free support.

“When trust feels dangerous, the world can feel like a battlefield.”

Paranoid Personality Disorder affects ~2–4% of people and is rooted in deep mistrust of others. This is not just being “guarded,” it’s a persistent belief that others intend harm, deception, or betrayal.

Common signs include:
• Chronic suspicion without clear evidence
• Difficulty trusting even safe people
• Reading hidden threats into neutral situations
• Holding grudges / difficulty forgiving

Real life example: Someone assumes coworkers are trying to sabotage them, questions their partner’s loyalty without cause, and struggles to feel emotionally safe even in stable relationships.

Gold-standard treatment: Long-term psychotherapy focused on trust building, cognitive restructuring, and relational safety. Therapy moves slowly and respectfully—safety comes first.

If this resonates with you or someone you love, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Reach out to Artemis Wellness to start the conversation.

Personality disorders are one of the most misunderstood areas of mental health. Unlike conditions that tend to come and go (like episodes of depression or anxiety), personality disorders reflect long-standing patterns in how a person experiences themselves, relates to others, regulates emotions, and interprets the world. These patterns are deeply rooted, often beginning early in life, and can shape relationships, identity, and daily functioning in powerful ways.

This doesn’t mean change isn’t possible, it absolutely is. With the right support, insight, and evidence-based treatment, people can build healthier patterns, improve relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. Personality is not “fixed.” Growth is always possible.

Over the next several posts, I’ll be breaking down different personality disorders, separating myth from fact, and helping you better understand what these patterns really look like—in real life, not just in the movies.

If this topic resonates with you, you’re not alone. Follow along for this series, share with someone who may benefit, and reach out if you’re ready to better understand yourself or someone you love. Healing and self-awareness start with knowledge.

“I’m not good enough. I’m unlovable. I’ll never change.”

Some days, the loudest voice you hear is your own.

But thoughts are not facts, they are patterns. And patterns can be rewired. Your brain is capable of building new neural pathways. Your story is capable of being rewritten. Healing is not about pretending the struggle doesn’t exist, it’s about refusing to let it define you.

We have all been in those moments. You are not broken. You are not alone. And you are absolutely good enough.

If you’re ready to shift the narrative, I’d be honored to walk that path with you.

We’re only 10% of the way to our goal—and every bit counts.

This Merch with a Mission fundraiser supports Dunham House, a combat-wounded care residence providing healing, dignity, and community to our veterans. Every shirt, hoodie, and sticker moves us one step closer.

Stand with those who served. Help us reach the goal together.

Ezra Says 🐾

If your body feels “on edge” for no obvious reason… you’re not broken. You’re protected.

Anxiety and stress aren’t just thoughts, they live in the body. When your nervous system has been through a lot (burnout, trauma, chronic stress, postpartum changes, pain, etc.), it learns to stay on high alert just in case.

A gentle reset doesn’t start with forcing yourself to “calm down.”

It starts with sending your brain one small message at a time: “I’m safe enough right now.”

Try this today:
-Drop your shoulders
-Unclench your jaw
-Exhale slower than you inhale (even once)
-Put one hand on your chest like you’re comforting a friend

Small signals. Big impact.

If you want support learning how to regulate your nervous system in a way that actually fits real life, Artemis Wellness is here.

Today’s workshop was truly fantastic!

Full of vulnerability, intention, laughter, and real connection—the kind that reminds us we’re not meant to do life (or healing) alone.

A huge thank you to HER Strength for having me, and to every woman who showed up open-hearted and open-minded. Your willingness to lean in, reflect, and support one another is powerful—and deeply inspiring.

This is what happens when safe spaces meet brave conversations.

If you’re ready to continue this work—whether individually or in a group—I’d love to walk alongside you. Reach out to learn more about workshops, speaking events, or therapy services with Dr. Arias at Artemis Wellness.

Struggling with p**n or compulsive sexual behaviors doesn’t mean you’re “broken”—it means you’re stuck in a pattern that your brain learned for survival. And patterns can be healed.

Research suggests compulsive sexual behavior impacts ~3–6% of adults, so if this is your story, you’re not the only one.

Ready for support that’s trauma-informed, evidence-based, and nonjudgmental?

Your nervous system doesn’t need you to “push through,” it needs you to rebuild safety, one tiny brick at a time.

Meditation and slow breathing help downshift your stress response (less cortisol + more parasympathetic “rest & digest”). Walks outside support serotonin, dopamine, and vagal tone. Sauna and cold plunge give your body a controlled “stress dose” that can improve resilience and autonomic regulation over time.

Start small. Stack the habits. Keep building your calm.
