Eagle Harbor Health: A Center for Wellness

Eagle Harbor Health: A Center for Wellness The Islands Choice for Chiropractic Care The stresses of work, and everyday life have negative effects on the body.

Dr. Petheram developed Eagle Harbor Health: A Center for Wellness for the communities and families of Bainbridge Island and Northern Kitsap County. We are dedicated to helping teach our patients how to cope better with these stresses, and also towards living a healthier lifestyle. In order to achieve this goal, Eagle Harbor Health utilizes the most beneficial and up-to-date chiropractic techniques. These techniques are both, manual (or traditional), and computerized (non manual or low force). At EHH you will also find massage therapy, nutritional guidance, lumbar spinal decompression (for chronic low back pain and disc injuries), along with various other therapeutic techniques.

What We Focus On (And What We Don’t)

At Eagle Harbor Health, our focus is simple and intentional.

We focus on:
• Movement and mobility
• Education and understanding your body
• Comfort, awareness, and supportive care

We don’t focus on:
• Quick fixes or shortcuts
• Promising cures or guaranteed outcomes
• One-size-fits-all approaches

Every person moves differently, and care should reflect that. Our approach is thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in helping you better understand how your body moves and responds to daily life.

❄️ Cold Mornings & Stiff Starts

As cooler mornings settle in around Olympia and Thurston County, it’s common for movement to feel a little different when the day begins.

Simple habits like gentle stretching, a short walk, or taking a few minutes to ease into movement can help your body feel more comfortable and supported as the day unfolds. Paying attention to how your body responds—especially first thing in the morning—can make a meaningful difference over time.

At Eagle Harbor Health, we believe thoughtful movement and awareness matter in every season.

⛳ Looks Like 50° Tomorrow… Time to Hit the Links?

Cooler days can be perfect for getting back out on the course. But before you tee it up, it’s worth asking—is your body ready for those swings?

At Eagle Harbor Health, we offer a quick, movement-based golf screening using Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) principles. It’s designed to look at how your body moves, including mobility, balance, and stability, and how those movement patterns may relate to your golf swing.

The goal isn’t swing coaching—it’s helping you better understand how your body moves so you can head into your round feeling prepared and confident.

🧠 Feeling Mentally Foggy Some Days?

Many people describe “brain fog” as feeling less focused, mentally tired, or not quite as clear as they’d like. This experience can be influenced by many factors, including sleep quality, stress levels, movement patterns, and how the nervous system is responding to daily demands.

Chiropractic care often focuses on supporting healthy movement and nervous system awareness. For some individuals, gentle, movement-based chiropractic care becomes part of a broader wellness routine aimed at supporting comfort, relaxation, and overall daily function.

At Eagle Harbor Health, care is educational and individualized. Our approach looks at how the body moves, how tension is distributed, and how lifestyle factors—like stress and rest—may be influencing how you feel throughout the day.

While everyone’s experience is different, understanding and supporting how your body functions can be a helpful step toward feeling more balanced and supported overall.

🏈 Did You Know? Chiropractic Care Is Part of Professional Sports Teams

Chiropractic care has become a common component of multidisciplinary healthcare teams in professional sports, including the NFL. Many teams include chiropractors as part of a broader medical and wellness staff that supports athletes throughout a demanding season.

Within these team settings, chiropractors may focus on:
• Supporting joint mobility and balanced movement
• Providing soft-tissue and movement-based care
• Helping athletes manage stiffness and physical stress
• Working collaboratively with other licensed healthcare professionals

The physical demands of professional football require careful attention to movement, recovery, and overall body awareness. Integrative care models allow teams to address these needs from multiple angles, with chiropractic care often playing a supportive role.

At Eagle Harbor Health, we take a similarly thoughtful, movement-focused approach—tailored to everyday life, not professional athletics—helping individuals understand how their bodies move and respond to daily demands.

🌅 How Is Your Energy When You Wake Up?

Some mornings you wake up feeling refreshed. Other days, getting started can feel harder than expected. Energy levels are influenced by many factors — including sleep quality, daily stress, movement habits, and how comfortably your body is functioning.

Chiropractic care often focuses on supporting healthy movement, balance, and nervous system awareness. For many people, gentle, movement-based care becomes part of a broader wellness routine aimed at supporting comfort and overall daily function.

Everyone’s experience is different, but understanding how your body moves and responds throughout the day can be an important step toward feeling more supported from morning to night.

At Eagle Harbor Health, our approach is thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in education — helping you better understand your body and how to care for it over time.

Do You Have a Golfer in Your Life? Let Them Know—It Starts With Movement.

As a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified provider, Dr. Kirk Petheram uses the Body–Swing Connection™ approach to look at how movement patterns may influence comfort and efficiency—both on the course and in everyday life.

A TPI full-body screening takes less than 10 minutes and focuses on:
✔️ Mobility
✔️ Balance
✔️ Stability

Golfers receive practical, easy-to-apply insights to better understand how their body moves and where limitations may exist.

📌 Educational note: A TPI screening is movement-based and informational. It is not swing coaching and does not replace a medical evaluation or treatment.
