Our Story

Keep It Clean (KIC) began three years ago on a rainy day in Washington, when Lemmell Brown put an ambitious plan into motion.

After two knee-replacements Lemmell found herself feeling weak after surgery. She knew she needed to maintain an active lifestyle regardless of her physical limitations. Using a cane supported her efforts to stay mobile, active and independent.

She struggled to keep her cane free of mud and found herself nervous about traipsing dirt into the homes of friends and family. She longed for a convenient solution to protect the bottom of her cane.

“Coming from the rainy foothills of Tacoma, we were always encouraged to take off our shoes before heading indoors”.
