Small batch food production facility dedicated to the success of small producers, local farmers and our community.

Clean food, honest roots! Genuine Local, Inc. (GL) is an education-based “foodpreneurial” business incubator and community kitchen in the lakes region of New Hampshire. GL is a fully licensed commercial food and beverage production facility that offers affordable access to tools necessary for local farms and “foodpreneurs” to expand their market reach. Additional services include training and educational workshops on obtaining process reviews, labeling requirements, recipe scaling, pricing development and marketing. Foodpreneurs will realize an increase in efficiencies through increased production runs, consolidated purchasing of inputs and packaging, and collaborative distribution. Quality in food production practices will be ensured through use of proven standard operating procedures (Kitchen Ops Toolbox). During the last several years there has been an explosion in the level of awareness among food consumers. This awareness extends to not only what is in the food people purchase and eat, but where it came from and how it was raised or made. Food ingredients play an important role for many in managing their health and addressing the rising number of food sensitivities and/or allergies that have increased in recent years. Establishing a production facility that also offers its producers training, technical support, regulatory guidance, introduction to innovative sustainable business practices, and leverages individual buying power through collective purchasing (hence reducing input costs), will enable existing and future small food producers to enhance their financial viability, expand their market reach and create additional jobs.

I spy with my little eye, the Vernon family on the cover of the 🤪🥹😳

This photograph, sent to us by a customer, is one of many that made us go—WOW. How? What? Us? This? NO WAY!

💪 Damn straight that a hard working farming family is among some of these other big names, big magazines. Supporting farms is essential to keeping them alive in our communities rather than letting them disappear and become relics of a forgotten past. But here’s something you need to know—there are SO many farms in our state, in New England, in our country that deserve this honor, this type of recognition too.

When we invest in local farms, we protect a way of life that nourishes both the land and the people. Farms are the roots of our community, and without them, we risk losing the foundation of who we are. Let’s fight against that dreary possibility with ACTION!

This crazy beautiful farming life we live in this Granite State! Support the farms in your community, fiercely.

Happy weekend, your farmers are laboring regardless of the day, weekend, holiday. Here’s to supporting them extra this weekend. ♥️
