Embracing the wisdom of deliberate practice!

As Malcolm Gladwell once wrote in his book 'Outliers': 'The 10,000-hour rule is a definite key to unlocking mastery.'

🔑 Remember, it's not just about being naturally gifted or intelligent, but about dedicating countless hours to honing your craft.

True mastery is recognizing that the learning never ends.

It was my honor to host the first inaugural meet up for the OC AMI Allergan Trainers.

With the support of
Dr Yoelin who is a mentor to many of us trainers , we came together as a group to learn, share and collaborate on some of the best practices and to elevate the standards for training new injectors. The learning and growing never ends, especially in an industry of such rapid growth.

I have been having intimate conversations with women for 23 years, witnessing the ebb and flow of life's seasons across the decades.

Throughout this journey, one thing has become abundantly clear - many women are yearning for more.
More of themselves, more adventures, more joy, more sexiness, and more of feeling their true selves.

It is a desire to experience life in its fullest, to embrace every moment with a sense of vibrancy and aliveness. And what I have learned is that it takes immense courage to manifest this abundance in our lives.

When I witness women stepping into their courage, fearlessly pursuing their dreams and desires, the transformation is nothing short of breathtaking. The results are radiant, as they radiate an inner glow that can only come from embracing their true selves and embracing life's limitless possibilities.

To be honest, growth can be painful, reclusive and exciting….

It takes courage to step into the unknown, for growth lies beyond our comfort zones to create a life that speaks to your soul.

Change may be scary, but remaining stagnant can be equally daunting. To become a better version of ourselves, we must shed the old and embrace the new. It's in these moments of uncertainty that we discover our true potential. So, muster the courage, take that leap, and watch yourself transform into the person you were always meant to be.

Recently, I was talking to my team of the importance of surrounding yourself with people that you not only admire, but want to mirror their good habits. I set out this year to be one filled with “firsts,” strength, charity and wellbeing. And as we are at the half way point of the year, I can confidently say I have done that and more. I will not shy away from saying that I am proud of my achievements as a mother & a WOC/women business owner.

Hey friends, new and old…I'm Linda Rank a Dermatology Physician Assistant for 22 years, specializing in aesthetic medicine for the past 11 years.

My journey in the industry was unplanned, but found my calling when Botox came into the market and I’ve never looked back.

As much as people say I'm in the business of making people pretty, I'm really in the business of helping people feel good from the inside out.

My background in social work has only strengthened that belief. I've worked in Compton/Watts in research for STDs, as an HIV counselor, and even volunteered on the su***de hotline. It's clear that I'm most drawn to how people feel from the inside, out.

To be honest, I sometimes struggle with my role in this industry. While I've seen firsthand the positive effects of my treatments on patients' confidence and quality of life,

I'm always mindful of the messaging to women. Society puts so much pressure on us to be all the things, but beautiful is the loudest message in our faces. As adult women, I trust that we've developed ourselves enough to choose aesthetic treatments for ourselves, to match how we look on the outside to how we feel inside.

Unfortunately, this isn't always true, and I never want to add to any insecurities. I strongly believe our industry has a responsibility on how we help define beauty, especially in our youth.

So, let's focus on doing the inside work, loving ourselves, and knowing ourselves. Do aesthetics only for you, and let me be a small part of your journey. Confidence is earned through hard work, and I'm here to help you feel your best.

Oscar Wilde famously said that “with age comes wisdom”….
Age doesn't necessarily bring wisdom. It's the combination of life experiences, self-reflection, and insight that leads to true wisdom.
For me, part of that journey has been recognizing and understanding my own emotions, and giving myself permission to feel them. It's taken me 47 years to learn that taking time for myself and being 'selfish' is where self-love is served and where peace is found. Here's to more growth, self-love, and sunshine ☀️
