Ladue Senior Services Providing compassionate care for senior citizens in St. Louis county. Affordable eldercare is available both in-home and in retirement centers.

Ladue Senior Services is a local company with a local owner offering compassionate care for senior citizens who could use extra attention. Non-medical care is offered to meet a variety of needs. Some clients are very able bodied but can no longer drive and need a companion to assist in running errands and getting to appointments. Some clients are in retirement homes and appreciate the company of someone who will play games, push a wheelchair to special events, share a meal or simply visit. We are here to enhance the lives of the senior citizens you love!

I shared this recently on a personal page, but it didn't post here as planned. Hope you enjoy!

Occasionally, I have to share a story about the greatest generation that I have the privilege of spending my days with. Recently I took a client to exercise as I do every week. Each class ends with a walk to the Commons area. I was visiting with a resident when we came upon a doorway with a man standing in it. His legs were wrapped in bandages and he was wobbly on his cane. But, he was clearly waiting for her and reached out a shaky hand and gave her a candy bar. She smiled and thanked him. I gave her a knowing look and saw the flush come to her cheeks. I told her it's always nice to have an admirer. She grinned sheepishly and said she had told him she likes Milky Ways. It was such a basic, sweet moment that it made me choke up. Because, at the end of the day, folks, we all just want someone to give us a candy bar. 😊

A League of Their Own is the popular, fictionalized account of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League which came into being when America's supply of young men was depleted during WWII.
